After watching Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, I came up with a few good jokes to use in an abridged series. That being said, I decided to make an abridged series for Nanoha.

Before I make this, I'm gonna need some helpers D: I'm looking for someone with a good mic (for sound quality purposes, mostly), and someone who has seen or is willing to watch Nanoha. I mostly need female voices, but I need a couple of males, too :P. Anyone willing to help?

Just a suggestion, you may want to start with a YouTube Poop Nanoha similar to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOg0LEG08K8 It would give you a chance to pretty much do whatever with the video.

I want to do an abridged version of Orphen but, lacking previous experience in voice acting, writing, animation and so on...YTP seems like an easy way to get into the swing of all one would need for an abridged series.

Just tossing that idea out there.

If you have watched One Piece you would understand how great that YouTube poop was. It had some needless parts but was a fairly accurate representation of not only each characters personality but also the failure that is the 4Kids dub.

If you have seen One Piece then you must not enjoy a good mockery of that show.

Anyways, the point of that example was to show an easy way to begin a abridged series, if someone dosnt have much experience. Seeing as how most abridged series are done poorly I just used what te creators of the Yu-Gi-Oh abridged series said on their website.

Also I mentioned vocal editing before. What I meant was, there would need to be variations in the speech to make characters sound further away, in a cave, surrounded by a crowed, internal thoughts, and so on. That kind of vocal editing I am reasonably good at.

BackMask is right and Microsoft Sam is never to be used unless you know how to use jokes that have already been created using that program.

I'm comfortable swearing... as long as the swear words don't have a history of hate (i.e. the n word, homosexual slurs, "retard," etc.) ...but I do have a tendency to let those slip out sometimes, anyway :\

By the way- for those of you who don't have programs for recording- audacity is a fantastic choice. It's not absurdly complicated if you're just, say, recording your own voice and emailing it to dark.

Otherwise, Windows comes with a simple and free voice recording program. It's called "sound recorder" on XP in Programs/Accessories/Entertainment/Sound Recorder. If you're on vista or 7 just search for it. :P

By the way- I'm downloading the series now, so I can watch it when I get home. Get the feel for my character. :P
