Current Project: We will be using the song Dynamite by Taio Cruz as the audio source to create an AMV Montage. Donwload this version so we all have the same one. http://www.emp3world.com/mp3/120717/Taio%20Cruz/Dynamite

How this will work:This is where it gets tricky but my method may work well enough. What you will do, granted your working on this too, is to tell me the selection of the song you want to use and I will update this post saying who has what. You can ether post in the thread or send me a message to request sections.

The videos: Include as many animes in your video clip or clips as you want to. Basically you are making small AMV's so try to not use randomness unless it works well. They can be as long or as short as you want them to be but try and leave room for others to work with. Run the video on a little longer then your AMV was intended in the situation that two have space between the transition. All video formats are accepted.

CollaborAMV: A combination of many small AMV's made from different parts of the same song. It is a combination of the word "Collaboration" and the acronym "AMV"

Since this is starting to move along again I have a small bit to add.
If you want to use this video as a video to roll over the credits for your own video let me know. Once this is finished I will not release it publicly if someone wants to use it. They (you) will have the first view of it to see if you still want to use it or not.

Project Dynamite is simply a demo of the CollaborAMV series to come. It is not the most amazing or original idea, but my plan was to make videos we could all enjoy, because we all had a part in making it. Unlike AMV Hells method of dividing videos into "...joke, transition, joke, transition, joke, credits, end" The CollaborAMV series aspires to make seamless videos united by many peoples visions of the song at hand, combining into one. We are just getting started here, there is some fun ideas I have planned in store. So come on and join the party.

What second part? On the first page I just have the sections that have not been used yet, there are no specific "parts" per say.

Also, make sure you let your videos run about a full second or two at the beginning and end to allow for a smoother transition when I put it all together.

The sections avaliable are what anyone can work with. What someone does is say what part of the avaliable sections they want to use. They can use as much space as avaliable.

Like the last section that is not used yet, *2:08-3:23 If you chose to use that you could ether make the clip as long or short as you want.
(You chould do sections 2:08-2:10 or the full clip length 2:08-3:23 or even cut it up 2:30-3:00. If you would cut up the area thats free then I just update the front page saying that its taken.)

Lets say you wanted 2:30-3:00, you would post you want that section and I would update the front page to look like this,

You got it. My my, this is moving along quicker then I had expected.

To fill you all in on the progress of this, I have NOT put together a single part of the video yet. Every file is renamed in a folder ready for placement or change if any of you want to swap your original vids with newer ones.

Once I get to the points where I will be making clips, I plan to make them as I go instead of using pre-made clips. If we could get no more Azumanga Daioh clips, that would be great but I won't deny a future good clip that has that show in it.

I am on the fence about the new one because it would mean I might have to say no to clips, it would be good for the video, but not my rep. So far in this demo video I have just accepted anything that has come along. Any suggestions about acceptance of clips in the big one?

Anyone still working on clips, MAKE SURE THEY RUN LONG BEFORE AND AFTER YOUR SECTION TO ALLOW FOR SMOOTHER TRANSITIONS. It's a problem with a few of the videos.

Well I don't do the splitting here, you do. Out of the sections left (in this case section) you can choose any part of it you want. All of it, the first half, the last 2 seconds, or even any part you want out of the middle. You just say what time you want and I chop it up to show that that section of the song is taken. Read the first page it's explained there.

If anyone is still trying to guess the next song don't bother because I don't know at the moment. Now there are two megamixes I want to do but the style I would organize them in is completely different. Rock Band Megamix is what started all this and will be set up just as a series of music videos similar to some of MTV's old works. The songs will be split and will likely just have the rules 1. make it look like a music video instead of randomness and 2. best versions of the song gets in so nobody has a specific part to do. It will also include a special (non MLP) "DJ" character I have already chosen being the speaker that I think will go over well.

Conversely DJ Earworms newer song would require people to chose what they want just like in this current project. I just don't think I have enough people willing to help with that. I am just going to make it an homage to past AMV Hell's by using clips from every one of the old AMV Hell videos. Including minis and the other two we dare not speak of.

This will prolly be the first hentai megamix version after AMV.avi is finished.

Good/Bad news my helpers, Project Dynamite has been accepted to be used as it was origionaly intended. Yes, thats right, it will be the ending video rolling durring the upcoming AMV Paradise 3: Revenge of the Rejected video. I tried the yellow text for the last part of Paradise 3's name here like it looks like in the new picture for the series but it was too hard to read. So its red now.

Oh and the next one is on hold to see how quickly this new project takes off (check my signature). I am going to be overly strict on the next "Project Dynamite" type video. Mainly because it will be a good 10 minutes long and include many songs in one megamix. So the issue this one had with having random sections will not be an issue in the next one with the pre-set sections. This way I can demand polished work instead of just accepting anything that comes along...unless I am called out to do another demo video like this one.

*Side note, I have tomorrow off work so I plan to remix Project Dynamite and take out things I don't like and add more of my own crap in. I hope people will like the changes but also I want to stress this now, I am not removing clips because they are bad just ones I personaly wanted to edit. So anyone who worked on this, thank you all very much but I also want to see what I can do now that most of the work is done for me. :p

Directors cut, Yeah not much different or better in any way. Just listened to some complaints over the first video and edited them in the most lazy way possible.

CollaborAMV #1 and #2 (Project Dynamite #2) will start here soon. Check for a thread or two about Rock Band and E-Rotic in the near future. :D
