I am working on a collaboration video called AMV Purgatory. I got the idea after reading Dante's Divine Comedy and realized we have Heaven (AMV Paradise) and Hell (Obvious). I believe its time to complete the divine comedy.

-Clips must be under 35 seconds in length
-Not from any of the most used sources in AMV Hell
-Azumanga Daioh
-Death Note
-Evangelion
-Excel Saga
-Cowboy Bebop
-The clips can be from any anime series as long as it is youtube appropriate.
-Does not have to be family appropriate (I would rather it not be)
-Clips can be in any format (youtube preferred for judging)
-No subtitles unless they are necessary to make the joke
-Ill add more rules later

Oi, I did not give you permission to use my idea (AMV Purgatory) and am very upset with the rules you have put in it as well as not even mentioning me as the titlist. If you take out Purgatory then I will be more then happy to help out. I am also willing to help find a different word in that Purgatorys place.

No copyright indeed but I still have the first few mentions of such a creation (Before this guy was even registered on this site I beleave) I at least want to have my name on the project is some form, besides a brief showing of my name along side everyone else who only worked on the video portion.

And think of it form my stand point, I had the idea and before I can put it together, someone steals the title that made my idea stand out only to augment it into something just like the other AMV Hell clones so the name is not even being put to good use. It's not like Paradise is copyrighted, what if someone took that away or if someone tried creating another AMV Hell series and claiming it to be the true AMV Hell? But I digress, I just want this person to take out Purgatory.

I have been partying my brain to a liquid state the past few weeks waiting for AMV Hell mini's season 2 to kick off and am now back trying to get a new computer. Since this one is crap, I haven't even been able to get it up and running until yesterday.

Quick suggestion AMV Paradise sounds nice but keeping the theme the origional started I have a new idea. Since there is clearly an AMV Hell and AMV Heaven (although the latter is crap) And even AMV Heck how about something along the lines of the afterlife as well?

Something like...AMV Purgatory

I'm still pushing that name change. Especially for something like this, where there is no separation between good and bad there just all wallowing in null-space together.

And if I can't convince you to change it I shall have to make such a thing.

Doesn't it suck when you think someone took your idea? I had that issue some time ago as well, some kid took a title I said I was going to use, I got over it eventually and I decided to use it anyways.

You did not rip off Purgatory from me
We both came up with Purgatory as a title (I had the first mentioning of it but besides that nobody owns the name) The project you have is nothing like the Purgatory I had in mind so about the content of the video I could care less about, I was just focused on Purgatory in the title.

Your video is a completely different project which happens to use a similar title. It has nothing to do with the Dante's Inferno story. Your just mad because I edited your project to make a new one. You should be proud that you got someone thinking outside the box. Instead of being angry that someone is using an idea you did not create and are not using.

We are both in the wrong here in a moral kind of way and seeing as how I doubt we can come to an agreement, this will not come to an end anytime soon. I did offer to change the name in my last post, in this thread. Not saying that offer is still open but I will ponder it for a few days.
