$6ish Australian (So at current that's about the same for America or about 3 Pounds for Britain, I don't know about Euros) a month for online gaming with a regular and large user base for the most popular games and with good service it is more than worth it in my opinion. And if all you want is the updates and access to the dlc well then that's free.

It is worth noting that I have a fairly terrible PC for gaming and thus my Xbox gets a workout just about every day and I play a lot (Mostly when I should be writing essays :p) so I definitely get my money's worth.

Yeah I'm with you there Xelias I stick to a very close group of people and know who everyone is on my friend's list is, no annoying randoms for me.

The Aussie and American dollars are pretty much dead equal at the moment I believe (Which is why everyone over here is currently buying stuff off of you via the internet and our Governments having a fit over it) but I'm subscribed so it automatically buys me live every 12 months. I just checked and it's near enough as makes no difference $80 including tax over here. Which makes it $6.65 every month. Very reasonable for a premium service personally.

It wasn't the hackers that took PSN down, sony did that themselves when they relised the hackers got in. and if they just put a back up online that hackers could easily get into it again. It kinda like what they did in the Eden of the East movie (Air King) when Luise gets into there system.

It's taking so long because supposedly Sony is completely rebuilding the PSN from the ground up to make a huge hack like this dousn't happen again.

I heard that netflix still works with the PS3, apparently rumors are that it will work at random or that it will only work on certain modals. In The Alchimest of Arland series (Ateiler Meruru) Rorona is returning as a child, apparently this is because of something Totori made. This seems to have been done to allow Totori to shine as Meruru's mentor, and possibly give a reason why a character fans leveled up twice is again back at level 1.

Also Sony has started issueing the 60 day PSN+ extension, I can confirm that my account has had 60 days added to my PSN+ membership.

AlsoX2 The PSN will be going down later today for maintenance.

These are good signs that the PSN store will soon be back up and running soon.

Popularity does not equal quality.
Not to mention that the Wii's only sold to families who wanted to be fit while playing games and children who wanted to play a game where they can swing a sword. I wouldn't call that impressive. Then again, most of the consoles sale to a pathetic group of individuals.

It's all about competition. Wii was getting a massive amount of sales, so Sony pretty much made a similar product so they could compete with Nintendo. Then Microsoft dropped the whole "remote" concept and used "the whole body," which was a massive fail. Similar things occured when the 3D trend came along, but the 3D movement was a major fail.

PSN Plus members will have an additional ten days added to there 60 days free.

So now that full services has returned douse that mean this story is over? Well it means the PSNpacolpsye has been averted, but it doesn't mean the story is over. There's still the hunt, the efforts to find and bring justice to the hackers that launched this attack

Sony was hacked again yesterday.
This time it was the picture service part of the company.(or something like that)
The hacker were able to get 1,000,000 usernames and psswords.
But they only took around 50,000(I think) for certain reasons.
They said sony was asking for it because they were able to get through with a simple sql injection.
