Well come Monday I am taking the plunge into a total hip replacement. This will be my seventh surgery in hopes to alleviate or get rid of my chronic pain. So anyhoot as usual if I am not back on within a week or so, it has been fun.

On a positive side my skeleton will be 2% titanium and 1% ceramic/plastic after this lol...

my mom has a titanium hip, did wonders for her! she feels almost none of the pain she used to before surgery. recovery is long, but at least you get all the drugs you could ever want!

I wanted them to put in a pneumatics hip so I wouldn't have to work at thrusting but they don't make them yet.

Well 6 surgeries didn't help so I finally had my hip replaced on the 9th.

So I snapped this off Yesterday while changing the dressings on my wounds.

That was surgery #5, where they had to dislocate my hip to shear off my bone spurs more concave like. However it still didn't help.

Not too bad. I can't move that leg too much for another 5 weeks though. They cut off one of the muscles to get into the joint better and that takes about 6 weeks to re-secure back into place. It is stitched in place but it has to heal. Limited walking and physical therapy, which isn't all too bad. I think the worse part of all this is the insurance company which is being extremely motarded when it comes to my prescriptions...
