I had a friend who used to make anime-style fanart. They weren't from any series (they were individual characters she called "muses"), but the art was all very well-done. Sexy but realistic, a mix of computer and pencil, all marked by this sense of loneliness that I find in a lot of anime.

She drew a lot of people with cat and fox ears, too. I asked her to draw a picture of my dog once, and she was happy I asked her, but she never got around to it. This is making me want to get in contact with her again...
