E3 2011 is nearly upon us, and the rumors are flying, this is a thread to discuss every thing E3, rumors, pre E3 announcements, and after the event talking about who won this non competition.

I will be posting on this thread as I watch the coverage on Spike and G4 (that shows how big E3 is, once a year there's actually something worth watching on Spike and G4) and encourage others to also post on this thread as they watch E3 through whatever means choose.

And if they are going to unveil a new xbox, they're probably pushing it out to try to beat/meet nintendo to the punch, like Sony did when they unveiled the Move just to try to catch up to Microsoft and the Kinect >.>;

...and please. "Project cafe" until they actually reveal the name. I'd be VERY surprised if they called the Wii 2 xD

I doubt it, Sony and Microsoft don't really need a new console quite yet, Nintendo needed a new home console a year after the launch of the Wii.

any ways, Sony is site seems suggest they will be talking about 9 PS3 exclusives

and Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One

while 4 titles have yet to be revealed but rumors range from Heavenly Sword 2 to GTAV (doubtful I know)

This along with the NPG (which is rumored to be named PlayStation Vita).

Microsoft has been a bit more protective of there information so there have been fewer rumors, currently the big rumors is about an IPTV called Xbox Live Diamond, and a follow up to Alan Wake (which may have gone multiplat.)

Just because Skyrim has more potential doesn't mean it's more anticipated. Honestly, I think CoD is more anticipated and will probably end up selling more just because of how damn well it always sells (for some reason unclear to me)

Personally, I'm excited for skyrim. But I think more people are anticipating MW3.

Don't get me wrong I not say WIIU as entirety is terrible, just the looks of the prototype. The features of it are amazing yes, but just the way design is a present. In the future they will make it look better;)

Besides, 3rd party games are a give and take no matter what system comes out. Thats the reason we buy new systems is because the games that are on that system.:rolleyes:

WIIU might have Metal Gear, RE, etc. to support it. Would buy that system for that certain game, most certainly.:D

I'm not saying the console is bad, I'm saying the way Nintendo presented it was terrible,I mean the mostly tech demos might have acceptable if the console was two to three years away, but there's less then a year before Nintendo plans to release the console.

also Nintendo has yet to reveal any real details about the specs of the console, not a good thing, especially for a console that needs to compete with the PS4 and Nextbox.

It's only a matter of competition. Besides, they only copied the 3D thing and movement control. And it seems like Sony did a better job of 3D, and nobody cares for the movement stuff.

Monjang has revealed that the 360 version of Minecraft won't be a direct port, and that they are not working on the port. Minecraft 360 will feature Kinect as an option to which Monjang founder said this "You don't have to play with kinect, but if you do you will feel closer to the world then ever, and you'll save kittens"

Could be a hint about a special 360 feature, or a subtle jab at kinect.

Well E3 is over, but due to a flood of games including Infamous 2, Red Faction: Armageddon (As soon as you get the shotgun, on nornal, you can stop plying story mode, you already beat it. Sony had a lot of good looking games.

Nintendo also had no substance to there conference center fold. Confusing as hell reveal aside they had no games ready to show us, this would have been fine it it was due out mid 2013, but for a console with only a year before release, it's hard not to worry.

Elder God Tier is above Zeus and Odin. Elder Gods are Gods of Gods. Therefore anything that gets Elder-God Tier is amazing in all areas... it is very rare to achieve this rank.

Skyrim comes close with its God-Tier, though. Oblvion was Beast, as was Morrowind. But Skyrim... dohoho, best game of 2011? (It has major competition though, I will say that, ME3, GOW3, Batman:AC, Prey 2 and Bioshock infinite are examples)

actualy, I shouldnt care too much, the mods of Oblivion made the game look beautiful so graphics arnt a big problem, I just kinda wish the PC was getting some love

it is, like i said 'port' was a poor word choice here, since they have to design the game within all the constraints of a console, they're still going to rewrite the engine so it works on a pc and they're still going to release the source code to allow modders to do what they do.

Actually Bethesda said at e3 that Skyrim would be available to the PC, 360, and Ps3. Bethesda would be bat**** if they didn't feature the PC as a port.

The AngryJoe Show e3 coverage said only one true WiiU controller, all of the other controllers have to be basic Wii controllers.

I'm Not. Im not the hugest Nintendo fan (Pokemon and Metroid are exceptions) and the console exclusives that interest me are few and far between.

However, I am HIGHLY considering buying a Ps3, Sony made one hell of good argument to buy one.

However, at the moment I content with my PC and 360. I have Skyrim, Batman Arkham City, and Aliens: Colonial marines on Preorder at my local game-stop...all is right with the world for me. :P
