Sorry...I know I've started too many new threads. But I don't know whether there's a designated thread for this sort of thing.....

In 4, there is a "BECK" skit that has a long-haired kid playing a looped 3-second bit of a Johnny Cash song. At one point, the music stops, and the two characters watching him seem to recoil in surprise. Then it begins again, and they calm down. I can never tell any difference between his playing before and after the pause, nor can I see any change in his expression or fingerpicking.

I have never found this skit funny, and I am pretty sure I am missing a joke. Is there an Internet Meme that the creator was paying tribute to? It's a well-made clip, but it's one of the very few that I just DO NOT get.
