Oh, it was hard to choose between USSR Azumanga and Evangelion/Titanic. In the end I went for the latter - as others have said before me, it's so seamless I'm beginning to think it actually happened like that.

And is it just me, or are the first few clips of AMV Hell 3 very similiar to AMV Hell 1?

There's the fanservice-y first clip, then an Azumanga one, then a Berserk one with a similar kind of song, then a Love Hina where Keitaro is blown away, then a Gravitation one, a Naruto one, a Tiny Snow Fairy Sugar with a similarly themed song, a Grave of the Fireflies one and a Battle Athletes Victory one. Perhaps it was an homage of sorts to AMV Hell 1?

Faced with a truly impossible choice, I ended up finally going for 'Perry had a Pimple.' It may not be quite as classic as some of the others, but it cracked me up and I still go around singing the song. You've got to watch the series in its entirity (which won't actually take that long). I honestly feel it to be one of the most consice and well rounded animes out there. And besides, Evangelion was way more F'd up, and not half as funny at that.
I personally thought the "Perry..." amv was a tad too easy, but I respect your opinion. For a real good FLCL amv, do an AMV.org search for F. L. C. AL. (I'd advise you to watch the whole series first though).

Okay, okay. I'll give FLCL another shot. Maybe I watched it too early in my anime-viewing career. I had just finished Excel Saga for the first time, and everyone listed FLCL as a recommendation for people who liked Excel.

My preferences lean more toward shoujo comedies, though...it was a treat to see Galaxy Angel in AMVH 4, since I've never been able to think of a funny clip for them.

yeah, pound for pound...was going for a boob reference there. I have tried to reply to your message several hundred times, however it seems as if i can't reply due to all of the information pertaining to it are blacklisted.

I like that movie too. I've heard alot of negative stuff about it, maybe because it might not have lived up to the show's standards, but it was still quite excellent.
More movies should use Halloween as a motif, I think; all you ever see are horror films.

Apart from the music syncing up with the on-screen action, the song&#39;s title, "Dark Chest of Wonders", lends some added humor to the situation. Then, of course, there&#39;s the sheer absurdity of Grenadier&#39;s action sequences to consider.

I think it&#39;s something to do with the lyric being &#39;Once, I had a dream&#39; or something like that. And that chick (I forgot her name) had a plan, but was ruined by Rushuna(sp?). So I think that&#39;s where it comes from.

it was a GREAT clip none the less...it gets you amped right after the intro. when that guitar riff comes in, now when i watch the series i can actually hear that song during that scene, now THAT is good clip making.
