I just finished printing out the cards (with copies for those that allowed it). It was a serious drain on the old ink cartradge, but I think it was worth it.

A tip for those doing likewise: transfere the cards' images (via dragging) into your documents folder, where you can then insert them onto a word document. The cards are automatically sized to the proper specifications and you can fit 4 on a sheet. Also, go with card stock rather than regular printer paper: it's much sturdier.

I've dabbled with the prospect of bittorrent, but in the end, streaming's just easier (and safer). Plus, if I ever want to download anything, I can just use Veoh or Stage6.

Anyway, about the cards. So far, I've spent alot of time cutting out my printed cards, and no time whatsoever playing with them (I'd have to find someone else with a deck too). Still totally stoked that they're here, though.

Anyway, I've got a suggestion for the whole transition card thing. How about instead of automatically discarding the transition cards, you hold them in your hand until the round is over. I made this mostly because it might get hard to remember the cards that you drew. ;)

It's just that Transitions beef up your battler or cause things to happen before the fight that might tip things in your favor for that Round...and no on the Hand thing.

30 cards in the original beta
3 promos (One for DLing the beta, one for helping w/beta, one for beating the snot out of me in a match)
10 cards in the next booster

in comparison with all the other card games out there, it's going quite slow.
But I want the balance at least somewhat right, so eh. I know there's going to be "staple" cards that will be found in every "serious" deck...

Also...it seems that Hell's Aces might be a little too gamebreaking...nice idea, but most likely won't be included for now.
Oh, and inspiration for promos can come from anywhere...

You'd need a special printer to print on both sides, wouldn't you? And forget pasting it on, that would just be unwieldly. I'm fine with blank backs. It's the front that's important.

1. print a sheet of 9 card fronts and a separate of card backs (on standard paper, formatted so they line up).
2. take both whole sheets and paste them around a single sheet of thicky paper (I'm afraid to spell cardstock).
3. Cut the cards out. Tada.
see? lining stuff up, pasting, and cutting can be done on a 9-card basis, instead of one at a time. If you're worried about ink, use someone else's printer, or print the backs in black and white. This is correct, I'm working through hell 4 first. it's then quite likely I'll be carding CE 2, CE, 1 and 2 together while the forum messes with the first fan-set. I can already tell that hell 3 is going to pose some problems...as for the ink, I hear ya on that. I have to replace a Cyan drum myself...

as long as both you and your opponent know what&#39;s being played, writing down the name of the card and it&#39;s effects (you can transcribe it as simple or as complex as you want it) onto an index card or something similar...that works, too.

Hmmm, brainstorming time

We could still use the AMV part, but it&#39;s the hell that&#39;s tricky. But the longer a title is, the harder it is to remember. We need something short and catchy, to get people&#39;s attention.

"Anipurgation" There&#39;s a horrible new word for you. XD

I just finished printing out the latest cards and corrections (I even used your suggestion about changing the margins to fit more cards onto a sheet: worked like a charm). I can&#39;t wait to start building up strategies and challenging my friends (and recieving strange looks because I forgot I don&#39;t know anyone personally who plays this game.)

No corrections this week...mainly because I want to test out the new booster.

AMV Hell: The RCG has moved to an actual forum, so that this one isn&#39;t cluttered with card topics and such (also, this topic seems to be running a bit long...)

and the reason why I decided to keep the name is that...as it states up there on the top of the screen, that AMV Hell is a genre all to itself. So now the card game is now a game about a genre :P expands the possibilities a bit...

As for teh actual booster, it should be up there soon...
