lmao you might as well kick out all consoles cause they are PC's.

But ill choose the 360 its the most rounded console of the 2 including children and teen titles plus most new PC games have native support for the 360 contoller also lets not forget XNA which opens the console up for indie game developers.
ohh and for fun Ill throw in that the 360 is more graphicaly capable than the PS3, PS3 only has more balls for a CPU or atleast it sounds like it does cant really compare the two due to the architectures being far different from each other which is why developers hate porting to/from the PS3.

Wii is out from the get go, with the weakest library,

the 360 currently has a bigger exclusive library, and so far most multiplat have run a bit better on the 360. The indie game section, while mostly full of crap is a good idea, has had some really good games (such as Breath of Death VII or Beat Hazard) but the PS3 exclusive library has a lot more variety in it. and Free online is defently a plus.

I'm for the Xbox 360. Sure there were... issues with some of the earlier models but the new 360S has no major faults as far as I can tell. And while some games will look better on Xbox and some better on PS3, Xbox definitely has the better games selection and exclusive titles such as Halo, Forza, Gears of War and until recently, Mass Effect. There's only one game I'd like from Sony and that's Killzone.

Also I'm absolutely fine with paying $6.66 AUD (Which is about the same in USD at the moment) a month for my online gaming because I definitely get my money's worth out of it as it IS a better service than PSN and besides if you don't want to pay you can still access all of the dlc and other online content for free anyway on an xbox live silver account.

Besides, I've got Banjo-Kazooie on my 360 and you can't get that on PS3 :P

But this is all really a useless argument anyway as all one has to do is look at the sales figures and you'll see that the Wii won over both the 360 and the PS3, and the DS annihilated even that. Hell, even my family owns a Wii alongside our Xbox just for the few times somebody does feel like being energetic and 4 DS's of the various types.

But again, as we are just going for which is the best out of these three: The Xbox, every time. In fact, out of these three my family has both a 360 and a Wii, I have my own 360S in my room, and all of my close friends have 360's so there's 7, plus 1 also has a Wii as well and yet, I honestly don't know a single person, friend or not, who has owned or has ever owned a PS3. Huh.

Going to go PS3, the 360's hardware is fail as evidenced by how much it failed and while they do have a pretty big library, most of the titles are kinda just **** which I have more fun playing on my PC anyway, which is why 360 exclusivity isn't. On the other hand the ps3 has a games library that's innovative and creative and not just the same boring **** over and over; actual exclusivity; more solid hardware. Also PSN is free

why? because the Japanese (and the Chinese for that matter) enjoy RPGs far more than the FPS that other countries enjoy

the wii caturs to the Asian crowd far more than the Western crowd

so really its just preffurence based on what games are provided, the bells and whistles are just extra.

oh hell yeah they are monsters! well-made beast! but they arn't built for gaming.

Valve's STEAM games for MAC are far from graphics-pushing and in fact require very little computing power compared to other games, so thats no real feat.

also, unless you get a custom tower MAC, there is almost no chance of it being upgraded. hell, MACbook air doesnt even have a disk drive

Ive known a few people who have tried gaming with a MAC, and they all agree there is a significant performance drop.

I guess you can game on a MAC, but that's just not what it is made for, its kinda a waste

Your just jealous because the PC is in fact the superior console. Especially when it comes to Bethesda's games. Playing Oblivion on the Ps3 and 360 is fun, but you get the full experience of it when you play it on the PC.

Both are great systems. Wii is a fail so hard its getting a new version even if it was released after the 360 so I guess thats out but the PS3 has my fav back library and 360 has my fav online play/support only because you get what you pay for and well...the PS3 is great but its online service is free, and you know, getting what you pay for and all.

And there another issue I have with it, none of that money I pay to play said game online will go to the developers. there's the fact that it's paid service, why the **** are so many adds as a gold member, I mean If I'm paying for security and online what the **** are these adds paying for, Should while I'm paying Microsoft to get the full experience of a game, i be able to at least say stop trying to sell me a ****ing car. I'd forgive them id they had a system like Sony, Nintendo or PC games where once you pay for the game (with the exception of some MMOs) you get the full experience, and when you do pay for other features at least your supporting the developers, maybe turn Gold into something similar to PSN+ where you can still experience the full game but paying will give extra **** like cloud saves.

"Let me explain by making a comparison to PC Gaming. Let's say you are the game company Relic and you are going to make Company of Heroes for PC. What you have to do is create an online system to help players find each other, a system to rank the players based on their wins, a friends list to keep track of your friends, and a chat system so you can chat with people. That is a lot of programming to get all that running. And of course every game is going to do the same thing, so just because I have a friends list in Company of Heroes it is only for that game, I can't see that my friend is playing another game or chat with them.

What Microsoft did was create the Xbox Live system that has all this programming in it to connect gamers together, allow voice chat, friends list, achievements, and a ranking system. Then they give all this information to a game developer who basically takes these prebuilt modules and plugs it into their game. Now they don't have to spend a bunch of time programming all those features in. The best part is it works across all games so I can chat with you even if we are playing different games. The only thing Xbox Live doesn't do is create dedicated servers to host the matches, the games are peer to peer. However lot's of PC games such as Company of Heroes are peer to peer as well. Now the only reason you pay is because M$ knew ppl would cause at the time there was nothing like it but now that there are things like steam, PS HOME etc... It seems like BS now but paying for it kinda just stuck. Subscriptions might vanish when theres enough DLC and payable features for the system to finacially support itself because im sure live is running under a subsidary company from M$ and not where all the money is really held so the ultimate goal here is to have it self sustaining without financial support from head which in turn gives the system a better longevity.

In all honesty though, I do prefer the 360 over the other consoles. The only two Wii games I really enjoyed was Endless Ocean 1 and 2... bite me Nintendo. And the console exclusives for the Ps3 really do not interest me... at all. PSN? Live may cost money to play online, but I do not play online anyways on my 360, to me, playing online just gets 12 and 7 year olds yelling off every swear word their small little mouths can muster. That and Live doesn't get hacked.

The Wii sold great and worse over time, better then the other two but in a similar fasion. Now they are trying to copy the PS3 and 360 with an HD Wii. If you would try and argue its different (the Wii U) because of its other features, then the same goes for the Kinect and even the Playstation Move being different. Your argument is invalid. Especially this is an opinion thread on the three systems and that was my opinion.

You could also pick up a cheap TV for much less. Were talking about the systems here. I could mention that some PC's need Monitors and others need this and that but thats retarded. Computers are more expensive then consoles and so I took them out of the main mix because its pointless trying to defend them. There good if not better then any gaming system but thats not why were here.

$200 tag can pay for a system to play todays games, wont be able to max quality out some games but they will be playable... no different than what consoles do.
My 6yr old computer can play crysis and much more the only game that cant play is GTA IV which actually requires a dual core cause it was a crappy port. The parts for that rig can be had for $120 hell I paid $15 for a new cpu when it died XD which was an AMD 3200+ Socket 754 yea shes my precious screw your ****ty duals/quads and AM2/AM3 sockets XD... God knows $200 can get you with current hardware.

Both Sony and Microsoft had the common sense to know HD would be the standard long before they wanted there consoles lifescyle to end, thus now they don't need a new consoles, while Nintendo needed a new console a year into there launch. Now Nintendo is failing at hyping there new system that is competing in the wrong generation. :P

PC's are an erector set they can be nickels and dimes or an arm and leg... The public opinions your seeing is whats called the E-Penis effect where more Performence/Rateing numbers are the normal. Thats where heavy price tag comes in but in reality I doubt anyone fully utilizes their Quad/Hex cores on games thus piss their money away in the wind.

The same effect applies to Cars and Consoles aslo more considerably the PS3 Vs Xbox where the PS fanboys always gloat that they have 8 cores while the Xbox has 3 pussy ass cores. Therefor they think the ps3 is better but at the same time they know nothing of the specs and it plays the same multiplat titles so end up spending more than needed.

Now see I dont think PC's are best for games, Plainly due to hardware fragmentation where a consoles hardware is proprietary which makes things easier on the consumer and developer end of things.

Sony actually managed to make a gaming console that is fun for every one, with not even half the shovelware you find on the wii, and a a lot more AAA exclusives, and a larger varity. They then took somthing the Wii was doing and vastly imptoved on the tech and exicution (Wonder why No More Heroes is jumping ship). And Sony is a multimedia company, of course they try and make multimedia devices. That just another plus on the PS3's part and a stark reminder on how Nintendo refuses to evolve.

sales can be attributed to the fact that SONY is a far more major corporation than Nintendo, and thus was able to buy off dedicated games, and pay for advertising

not only that, but the N64 came out 4 years before the PS2, so less people were interrested in gaming. the N64 got people interrested in gaming because it was awesome. therefore, the PS2 can attribute much of its sales to what the N64 did to strengthen the base of gaming

And on top of that, there's mumblings of activation codes for PS3 games to fight piracy and used game sales. What, now sony wants to give the finger to those without internet connections as well?

All the current consoles are same in my eyes, they all try to use the same gimmicks to make money, don't care what the fans want, and by the end of the day they just pump them out to make profit.
I don't care about a consoles blu ray, skype, youtube, or any of that other ****. I want consoles for the GAMES on them. I own a 360 because I've had it since the day it came out, and it still plays fine. I also have a DS because of Pokemon.
Currently the Ps3 has no games that interest me. Uncharted is Meh, Resistance is just another shooter, and so on. The only games that really interest me at the moment are games that will be on both 360 and Ps3 which includes Skyrim, Aliens Colonial Marines and Batman Arkham City, sure the Ps3 has it's gimmics with its games (Play as the Joker! Get Kratos in Mortal Kombat! Get Vader in Soul Calibur IV!) but its not something I'm willing to dish my fleeting pile of cash out on.

Because it really doesn't ****ing matter anymore. Like Kaiju just said- the important titles are all cross-platform, so the games don't matter as much. Yeah, there are exclusives, but really when, for example, I'm faced to choose between Halo and Metal Gear Solid I'm more inclined to impale myself.

It's also why microsoft and sony are clinging to gimmicky bull**** (such as NFL on Xbox or stupid extras within games on PS3) and also why achievements and trophies were invented. They want some way to sucker you into buying one console or the other, or to prefer one version or another because "I need more gamerscore!" or "I need more trophies!"

Mostly, I do know that I said developers not publishers. Take Dead Nation for example. It was published by Sony Computer entertainment but Housemarque who were the developers of the game but not a Sony specific group thuss not part of what I said. :p We both win because were both technically right.
