Remember WAY back when Nick was great? They had David the Knomb, Clarissa Explains it All, Salute your Shorts, Double Dare, Wild and Crazy Kids, Nick Arcade, Eureka's Castle, Hey Dude, Pete and pete, Wonder Years, the first season of All That, Doug, Rugrats (before tommy's voice changed), Gutz, Legends of the Hidden Temple, Figure it Out, What would You Do?, etc?

Now THAT was television. Today's generation would foam at the mouth and go into seisures over one episode of Ren and Stimpy...i guarantee it. We baby the youth to much with this Dora the Explorer and other nambly pambly bull hockey. Seriously, bring Stick Stickly, and i will watch Nickelodeon until i'm 80 and eating turkey through a tube.

Shows in general from that era kicked so much ass. Does anyone remember the Animaniacs and the awesome spin-off, Pinky and the Brain? The original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (before the PC Police moved in). That was back in the day when children's television was entertainment, not 'edu'-tainment. It's not simply nostalgia, either. Go back and find those shows on youtube, or on DVD and you'll laugh all over again. They didn't have to teach you ANYTHING. An oversized mallet, or a stick of dynamite was all you needed to be funny.

yeah, Animaniacs was the shiz. The one after-school program I was hooked on, though, was Batman: The animated series. Classic.

Well, the game shows are still on Nick G&S (Figure It Out, DoubleDare, GUTS, and those).

If there is a Classic Nick channel, I'll petition my cable company to get it. As Heffer always said:

"NOW THAT WAS A HOOT!"

Bring back guns into children's TV. They took it away because they thought it would make kids crazy and murderous, but even without, kids are crazy and murderous. If we put guns back, maybe that would soothe the blood lust.

children's tv today lacks substance. ren and stimpy boardered insanity and had so many dirty, nasty, racial, and prejudice jokes in it that looking back on it now, it is a wonder that the FCC in this country let this **** happen in the first place. In the day in age, however, 10 seconds of the "space insanity" episode leaks onto tv, distrought mothers everywhere are going to sue when their child becomes a fu*k up.

I say we should sue distraught mothers when their kids DO end up f*cked up. Then, we can use the case to highlight where the REAL problems lie, instead of allowing them to push the blame on someone else. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there a school shooting recently in which it was found out that the mother actually was the one who bought the guns? WTF kind of parenting is THAT?! She didn't buy him a gun. She bought four. Let's see: He wants a gun, ammo, but doesn't ever think of going to the shooting range... You don't have to be head cashier at Wal-Mart to see what might be going on here.

Last time I checked, nicktoons t.v still showed still showed rugrats, doug, ren + stimpy and rocko.

Heh doug when I think about it the way he was always daydreaming seems a bit like the idea that they came up for family guy + scrubs with the whole unrelated scenario thing.

O.K., I'll give you Scrubs, but Family Guy? When did Doug ever build an automatic breakfast machine that shoots you in the arm (man that was awsome).
