Salutations, one and all!

After some thinking, and discussion with Ranma (http://www.amvhell.com/member.php?u=7304), we've come together to start something almost as awesome as AMV Hell itself.

If you've ever heard of a show called SCTV, you'll know where we're going with this. If not, here's the deal: We're going to use anime of all kinds and turn them into an half-hour comedy show filled with skits and funny videos, all written by you!

We're looking for two things: Ideas for sketches and skits and commercials, and any other little thing a TV network might show, as well as voice actors! We're going to need a lot of different voices to help make this project worth while!

I've gotten a new video editor that does a lot of effects and green screen, so for an idea, I might do a late night talk show thing, where Naruto is the host, and he talks to different anime stars, or something - but the rest is up to you guys! The more submissions we get, the better!

The only rules are:

1. Keep it under an "R" rating. A lot of things can be hilarious, but let's limit going for out of this world disgusting/gory/sexual, 'k?

2. When submitting ideas, please let me know if it is something original (that you came up with yourself), an idea you got from someone else, or something you saw/heard that may work well (and if that's the case, also mention where you saw/heard it)

3. If you want to design the sketch yourself, make sure you give credit where it's due in terms of video and voices.

If you're more an actor than a thinker, we can use that too!

I've got some ideas I could pitch at you.
Not too sure who you be though...
Got any more details?

xD Well, yeah.. I suppose that IS to be expected.

I'm Chris Hedgie. I've posted one or two videos I've done before, I have gotten 3 videos into AMV Helloween, and I'm just a general lurker on the forums who has these brilliant flashes of an idea from time to time. :P

Hm. I'm a weak contributor to AMV Hell at best. I've got one video in AMV Hell 5, and my most recent clip was accepted but has not been featured yet; both under my AMV.org username "Lost Heaven".
Again, I have a few ideas, but lately I haven't had the time to work on any of them. I could certainly participate depending on when its all happening. Voice acting...eh...ot my bag but I can do it under the right conditions. There should be a few Abridged Series wackos running around here somewhere. Catching any of them would do you some favors.

That's fine! Ideas are always welcome. We need tons of material. ^_^

Then hopefully this thread can stay afloat long enough to get it.

This sounds cool. And if we are all introducing ourselves:

I'm Matt, I make (crappy) AMVs and an abridged series. I do all the voices in the abridged series but I don't claim to be an amazing voice actor. It all depends on what role.

Regardless I think this sounds like an awesome idea and would like to help any way I can.

I'm Blades, pleased to meet you; sounds interesting. I'm working on a project myself VGMV Apocalypze, which is almost done, but adding some finishing touches is a pain. But yeah maybe in the future I could probably contribute to your project as well, first I got to submit a few amvs here, and complete my project though.
