This was also my reaction after seeing the Azumanga Daioh episode. I'm just not a fan of this kind of thing.

The fact that 85 percent of these scenes had already been used (often very well) also made this feel a bit stale. Witness: Piccolo in the Car, Everyone Dances, Ginyu Force Dance, Popo's race being made fun of, and of course, as always, the battles. Those damn DBZ battles...

I have to admit that the Austin Powers crossover was pretty damn good (Austin Powers and AMV Hell are a good match, in general).

(The beginning seemed to drag on. If the beginning would have been shortened this would have been much better.)

J. Geils Band - Freeze Frame
(This one fit very well and the editing is very fluent. I really like it.)

Futurama sound clip
(Although the editing is not all that great. The idea fits so well. This clip is very good.)

Queen - I Want to Break Free
(Could've went to the beat a bit better. But still good.)

Gloria Gaynor - I Will Survive
(The audio jump threw the video off a bit IMO. But I still like this one, because it matches Gohan's training episodes so well.)

Even if there is sexual content as long as there isn't explicit sexual activity it's not hentai!
(When I say this, I'm referring to the fact that it's not classified as hentai in any anime database.)

Here's what you should do.
Take a scene that has minor nudity which has no sexual context.(There is a surplus of scenes to use in many anime)
Edit it in a way that makes it seem sexual.
Great laughs will ensue.

^ This scenario will likely achieve best results and will almost certainly be accepted.

The line only seems thin if you get to close to it.

One can also get hentai in if they don't show the explicit sex, of course. There's not much of it outside of the "Bad" AMV Hells, but there's a little in 2 (the Horse neighing and a thinly-disguised shot of Asuka "gratifying" Shinji in someone's Evangelion fantasy), one clip in 4 ("Passionate Kisses"), and that "Alignment You!" anime that someone used in the last season (which I'd never heard of) turned out to be an erotic title.

I believe AnimeNewsNetwork.com to be a much more reliable and official source than Wikipedia.
And anything that's a hentai there is labeled pornographic.

Yes I did quote wiki as it is informal just like databases, is it accurate? No to an extent yes. Wiki is controlled by the masses just like the word usage of hentai. Now I would trust information thats reviewed and manipulated amongst the masses on how a word's understood as a whole opposed to a single user entry on a database, or a dictionary (If documented).

It cant because hentai is an umbrella that falls "under" anime or "over" but isnt separate from anime as an entirely different form of animation or source of origin.

Anime will always be the home for a (theoretical) hierarchy tree because we're using it as a main subject which then can call genres/categories/ratings etc... into it. Where hentai falls inside of this hierarchy I do not know because its umbrella is huge and crosses genres also. If you took the time to build this tree I think hentai would be subbed down far far into that tree. Pesonally I would leave it out of the tree and just note it as classification under the title and not as a singular category, On a database this idea is utilized as tagging.

Now heres the fun what if we fliped roles? If hentai was a main subject then we could put under that hierarchy tree literature/anime/games/manga/magazines/etc... which then can drop down into genres/categories/ratings/platform etc.. within in the hierarchy. Yay fun fun.

The reason this works this way is because their part of each other.

If your an animation studio then your an animation studio.

If you an animation studio that resides in japan then your an anime studio.

If your an anime studio that makes animation productions for an audience that likes erotic material then your still an anime studio and the production is still anime.

When I say hentai studio, I'm referring to a studio devoted to producing only pornographic anime.
I'm obviously well aware that even a studio which produces only pornographic anime is still an animation studio.

Well I use to think of it that way but its not the case anymore. R-18 pretty much takes hentai's place as being specifically pornographic thus the umbrella is no longer tarnished by westernized thinking.

Well I see where the problem was then.
You were arguing it from how it is commonly used in japan.
Where as I was arguing it from the standpoint of how it is commonly used in America.
We're both right in our own way.

So arguing what is considered hentai from the standpoint of Japan is really pointless.

Although in order to say that the way Americans/Foreigners use the word hentai is incorrect, all you would have to do is find a non-pornographic anime that is rated 18-kin.

Until then, while I won't say it's not possible.
I see no reason to believe that there is much difference between what the Japanese label 18-kin and what we Americans refer to as hentai.
(And it's harder to find the Japanese rating to Queens Blade then one would think.)

There were no restrictions on 0 or /0.
Ehh think of "Bad Stuff" more as R.(maybe a bit less when it come to nudity)

I submitted some adult clips about 3 months ago.
They were accepted, but Zarx thought they would fit better in a Bad Stuff episode.
He said the episode's half full already, so I'm guessing he's been doing this with other adult clips.
I think once this Bad Stuff episode is done with, we'll probably get a bit more of the adult ones in regular episodes.
Because there will no where else to put them.

...Minor Nudity is cleavage/rear/whole naked body but without showing privates or nipples, it was clarified eons ago in the dark ages of the 1970's. If you need an example, watch AMV Nightmare and you'll see plenty of "Minor nudity scenes".

16 age limit is showing entire boobs, even privates and sex, without showing actual penetration. Exmaple Rome had male nudity, sex, female nudity, graphic violence (but not gore) and was rated 16.

I'd hate to the know what you watch if you can't tell the difference between porn and normal mainstream shows anymore.
