So I saw something that inspired me to make this thread.

Simply tell us about something you saw on the internet, where you saw it and why you think it's pathetic.


I came about this idea when I was watching a Teamfourstar video and one of the suggested videos was by some guy who had an entire channel devoted to how evil Teamfourstar is (In his opinion).

All this BS about how DBZ is the greatest anime EVER (No it's not) and they are asshole for making fun of it and making fun of something that so many people like and their videos aren't parody and all this other crap.

First off, the guy sounds like a butthurt fanboy who probably has his testicles tattoo'd to look like Dragonballs. Also the fact that he is so enraged by them making fun of DBZ that he feels the need to devote an entire channel to bitching about them is just ****ing sad.

Not only have they made DBZ more popular than it already was, but they've made a lot of characters popular that nobody used to give a damn about: Nappa, Guru and Popo to name a few.

This is probably some dumbass, butthurt fanboy who is either only like 13-16 or some 25 year old who still lives with mommy and still sleeps in his DBZ Sheets. Also there's a fair bit of bitching on the guy's channel about how American's are assholes.

The whole channel just made me lose faith in humanity.

No ****, if someone were to make an abridged series of say Cowboy Bebop or Samurai Champloo I'd enjoy it, provided it was done well like DBZ, Yu Gi Oh and Hellsing Abridged.

No matter how popular something is people are going to make fun of it. I hate on DBZ a lot, but it did have it's strong points and it did make anime far more popular outside of Japan and it got a lot of people into anime at a young age.

That doesn't mean that people can't make fun of it.

That was pretty much my opinion of him, the guy is a butthurt fanboy.

The only people who think DBZ is the best anime ever are either people who haven't seen anything else, or people who still have a soft spot for it cause it was their first anime.

What probably happens to a lot of people who first saw DBZ was they thought it was AMAZING the first time around, then as they mature they see a wider variety of anime and when they go back to watch DBZ again they're like...wait a minute. WTF?! This show is so horribly written, OMFG This makes no sense?!

I never cared for Zim, mainly cause of my mother and brother quoting it non-stop for like 3-4 months when they first started watching it. I DID like Nightmare before Christmas when I Was a kid. High school "fans" (mostly girls) who obsessed over it like it was the greatest thing ever, mainly because Hot Topic will sell any Piece of **** that is made with characters on it from that movie and these idiots will buy it.

One time I mentioned Danny Elfman in front of a girl I knew "LOVED" Nightmare before Christmas and she was like, "Who's Danny Elfman" I don't condone hitting women, but I wanted to slap this girl. It'd be the equivalent of a Star Wars fanboy asking who Mark Hamil or Harrison Ford is, almost as bad anyway since you see their faces the entire movie. Since Nightmare before Christmas is a musical you'd think these idiots would know who did all the music in the movie they "love" so much.

Not really relevant to the topic at hand, but I had to get that **** out, I can't stand Nightmare Before Christmas anymore and I haven't watched it in at least 6 or 7 years, high school ****ed that up for me.



Also guys, the description of the thread said: "Explain your reason for thinking it's pathetic." That way the thread doesn't just turn into a "OMG THIS PAGE SUCKS!" fest. Be a little more elaborate when you talk about something that sucks (In your opinion) and tell us your reasoning behind it.

What I think the most pathetic thing on the internet is?

People who hate something because it's popular or in their words "Overrated". And most of the time they havn't even watched/read the material in question, only forming their opinions on the Fandumb.
This especially goes out to the so called "anime-haters", who probably only seen a few episodes of Pokemon or Naruto, and dub an entire genre as '****'. To me thats like saying you hate movies or books, its completely intolerant and ****ing ridiculous. Anime incorporates a whole host of other genres, and sure it has it share of cliches, but what other medium doesn't? Movies have their painful cliches, so do books and comics, and western animation is **** nowadays too. (With the exception of some of the Hub programs, ala Transformers, Thundercats and *yes* MLP: FIM) There are **** anime, but there are also anime so ****ing good that its adored by film critics like Roger Ebert, with LITTLE of the cliches that make some anime unbearable. Cowboy Beebop, Akira and Ghost in the Shell come to mind.
This one guy I know openly says he hates anime on his dA tagline(Namely Gurren lagann)... ALL Anime... and yet holds Pokemon to high standard and is obsessed with Homestruck...double standards much?

On the other end of the spectrum...pairing shippers, and the anime fandumb in general... the major reason in my opinion, that there exists Anime Haters in the first place.

I gotta agree with you on this. The only anime I hate on is DBZ, but I have at least seen enough of it to be able to give an opinion based on something besides fan squealing over how amazing it is
