I understand that is has a mostly in the title which means it will kind of be open, but these themed hell idea's don't seem like a good idea. Themes are fine for mini's but to do a full hell on one theme, I'm not feeling it, I like when they are open to anything like the first hell's.

They are open to anything, just each one has a theme showing what clips he'd like to appear

Um.....no. Not that I have anything against that show, but a whole hour and a half video of it is overkill.

What's wrong with just having a mix? Each video (3, 4, 5, etc) has had a different "flavor", which I DO like, but that just comes from the mix of people that contribute....I think that a theme is the wrong way to go.

Sorry, an entire hour and half of mostly a single anime AMV is just overkill. Especially of one I only know from Mattroks' avatar, sig, and one or to amv clips. I prefer it mixed anyway, one of my appeals of watching Amv hell is me not knowing what anime or clip will be used next, it keeps me on edge and keeps my attention. That's why I do not like the Azumanga and Dragonball specials that much. I know what to expect.

If I had to choose a theme: How about anime who are:

A. Have not yet been used in ANY of the Hells.
B. Have less then five or ten clips in all of the hells

So, in short, an AMV Hell which uses all of the Anime not frequently used, or not used at all. Which means no Evangelion, No Azumanga, No Haruhi, etc. All obscure anime, anime barely used, etc.

Its just an idea, however.

I wouldn't be so negative about it: My Ordinary Life is full of physical comedy and has such a wide variety of situations that it easily lends itself to Hell skits. Already we've seen a prolierfation of clips here on the Minis, and the series hasn't even finished yet. I'd be open to composing a set.

To be fair, Nichijou is the new Azumanga Daioh :P While I wouldn't mind many clips with it, I agree with those who say a HELL should be open theme. Please keep themes to minis.

^ yea i thoroughly agree with this. as much as I love Nichijou, I do love a variety of different animes in the Hells and Minis, and themes should just stick to the Minis

Doesn't sound good to me. It'd be fine if Nichijou was the star of it, like azumanga was the start of 3 and death note was sort of the star of 5, but saying that it HAS to be the theme sounds dull.

An hour and a half of the same show makes things boring. Even if the clips are good and funny it gets kinda dulled by the fact that there's no variety. Even if it's only "Mostly", the others in between would just seem like commercials. That said, it'd be kinda odd if the commercials are what spices a movie up.

Any show can become like our overused "favorites", Evangelion, Azumanga, and Death Note, if seen for long enough in too many AMV Hell skits. Then again, even our "Big 3" never had an entire 1:30 or more themed after them.

And although Nichijou is varied enough for many skits, I doubt that even a show called "The Tragic Adventures of Funny Bob and his Slutty Girlfriend, Space Ninja Mecha-Pilot Season 1; Funny Bob vs The Shadow Orcs from Hell" (Rated R) would be enough to even fill up 30 an hour before getting terminally bored with it... (Also, it has a stupid name)

And I already posted my thoughts on AMV.org.
Its a waste. A total waste. Three projects or not, taking this idea into consideration is really bad. And what's going on with AMV Hell that 6 needs multiple entries? Is it going the Metal Gear Solid route?

But yeah, beyond that I'll still try to submit to any of the projects as long as one anime isn't the main attraction.
And if anyone else argues about AMV Hell already being mostly Azumanga, go to TV Tropes and look up "Author Appeal". Considering the main co-creator's tastes...it was kind of necessary, since you know, he helped create it.

I have a solution to this... How about simply mixing all 6 Themed Hell projects, add some unrelated AMVs, hopefully some of which coming from more obscure anime series, and have, as a result, a perfectly normal AMV Hell?
Seriously, I thought AMV Hell and the Minis were all about the randomness and variety of the skits they each had...

Ok so i know i'v been gone forever, but the last thing i recall about amvhell 6 was that there would be 3 of them, aka amvhell 6,6, and 6. if this is still the case, then 3, hour long videos that each have a theme (say 1/10 videos or something all being related, or something along those lines) would not be a bad idea. now again, i have been at sea w/o internet for a while now, (we just got it back up again) so i don't know what has changed. i haven't had time to go through all the threads yet.

yup, I have all his vids on my zune and I listen to them to keep my ire at the community up. without people like him, I'd be bubbly and happy all the time, which would be hell on my friends.
