I suggest that we do it by the script for each episode. Here's a scenario:

Each person speaks the lines (using good acting, of course) into a sound file (I think the free program to do this is called Audacity). We compile all of the voices and overlap the Japanese voices with them. It won't be the prettiest dub in the world, but I'm SURE that it'll be better than what ADV Films put out.

PM me if you need means of faster communication (such as AIM).

Now, if we were doing, say, an NGE fandub, I could probably pull off a mean Gendo or Kaji, but this isn't NGE. It's AzuDai. There is only one male character. ****, not even Kagura's voice is deep enough to justify any of us portraying her.

Now, if we wanted to be ridiculous with this, we could portray everyone in the show as boys, which would probably lead to some very ridiculous moments (i.e. Kaorin swooning over Sakaki), but I don't think that's what were shooting for here.

I can't guarantee that I can do a voice in the dub.

HOWEVER, I will provide no-sub Japanese episodes of the show for you guys to dub over. I want to help in any way possible.

Also, I sought advice from a lawyer about this. It's ok to make a fan dub as long as we note that it's a PARODY. Should you guys need any other passive help, let me know.

BTW, I checked with a friend who has DVD Decrypter installed. For a small fee (labor), he's going to rip the Japanese episodes for me. There will be no subs since it's a DVD, but we'll need to use the blank opening/credits since we can't use ANY content from ADV. So, I won't be doing a character, but I'll help with promotion/distribution/etc.

Just let me know when you need the episodes so I can upload them somewhere and send you the links.

Actually, I've heard that one can use headphones as a mic. I don't know the quality (possibly bad), but my audio editor should fix that. I'm still pretty TICKED OFF at the fact that no one's letting me use the F***ing Computer!

Yes, please do Sakaki. Evidently you have not seen the original Japanese dub. The horrible English dub that gave Osaka the southern drawl is a big reason why we&#39;re doing this in the first place.

I just would prefer to do Sakaki&#39;s voice (again, assuming we&#39;re doing the male cast thing) because I feel like I could match her mannerisms well enough.

Many people (like me) had an issue with that voice. It didn&#39;t represent Osaka (character or place) very well. Osaka is south of Tokyo like New York City is south of Albany. I could understand that for someone from Okinawa vs. Hokaido, but not Osaka. You&#39;re talking 100 miles vs. 1,000 miles in a sense.

Also, this will be a serious dub indeed. I&#39;ve been considering writing a script for us to use, if that&#39;s what you mean, Issitheus. We could possibly use a fansub from LeKordes. As far as I know, we&#39;d be all set except for episodes 23 and 24; I can&#39;t find them, but I&#39;ll find them, I swear...

I&#39;m here and yes I&#39;m writing the scripts. The issue I&#39;m having is trying to make it look original, as in "no, I didn&#39;t steal this from ADV."

I haven&#39;t been around too much because of schoolwork (piling up) and helping to get my own house internet-ready (I currently do all online stuff from school, a college, and friends&#39; houses). However, I will have internet in my own house January 22nd, and I will PM you the script for Episode One to see if it&#39;ll work. I was going to wait until actors were at the ready, but I can release it then if that&#39;s how you wish.
