I've got an idea for an unofficial spin-off/prequel to Naruto. It would be titled Ninja Academy and it would take place 54 years before Naruto, therefore Konoha would be only a year old. It would be about two ninjas-in-training. I have a complete outline of the entire series, and I could post it if you want. But, from what I've said, do you think it would be a good idea?

Sorry, but every time I hear that phrase, I always expect to see something horrendously bad. Probably because I think taking a game and doing live action (ala Mario) much less any Anime will end in tears of laughter. I will stop my streak of cruelness now..I hope.

yeah usually horrible live action things are created from animated shows, games, etc.

this is a whole new story, new characters, new everything. the only character that is also in Naruto is the First Hokage and i might be able to include Tsunade. but other than that, no copyright infringement.

Ninja Academy Layout (of first 2 seasons)

Season 1
Characters:
? Koren Mallos
? Cheel Uzamaki
? Sarano-sensei
? Sasoshi

Major Settings:
-Ninja Academy

Plot:
Koren and Cheel enter ninja academy. Season consists mostly of training under sarano. Sasoshi is introduced, and becomes main antagonist. Sasoshi does minor things.


Season 2
Characters:
? Koren Mallos
? Cheel Uzamaki
? Sarano-sensei
? Sasoshi
? Koren?s mom (minor)

Major Settings:
-Ninja Academy
-Konoha

Plot:
Koren and Cheel Continue Training under sarano. About halfway through the season, koren decides to return to konoha temporarily to visit his mother. Koren is kidnapped by sasoshi, who then attempts to take over konoha. Cheel and sarano realize koren has been gone for too long and return to konoha also. They arrive during the takeover and attempt to stop sasoshi, freeing koren in the process. Koren, Cheel, and sarano are eventually overpowered, when koren unleashes his hidden power and saves konoha.

Plot:
Cheel gets angry with koren because he?s always the hero and steals the show and leaves the team. Eventually, Cheel joins with sasoshi and is brainwashed into working for him. Koren decides to forgive Cheel and rescue him. While Cheel is working for sasoshi, the kyuubi power is discovered but kept closely guarded. Koren eventually finds sasoshi and Cheel, but Cheel is completely brainwashed and begins fighting koren. When the two are equally matched, Cheel unleashes the kyuubi power and begins severely beating a surprised koren. Koren comes to his senses and unleashes his full power also. Koren eventually wins, causing Cheel?s memories to return. Koren and Cheel approach sasoshi, who escapes, but only after telling koren something: his father is alive and has been captured by the death?s hand clan?

Season 4-Final Season

? Death?s hand clan

Main Settings:
-Death?s Hand Clan Hideout

Plot:
Koren and Cheel decide to head straight for the death?s hand clan hideout, without even returning to ninja academy. They decide to attempt to sneak into the hideout, but are captured before they get far and are thrown into a cell? the same cell the koren?s father is in! after a brief meeting, koren?s father tells koren of his own past. Eventually, a guard comes with a key to the cell to let one of them out? koren?s father! Koren?s father exits the cell chuckling as koren watches in horror. He and Cheel quickly realize that they had been tricked. Sasoshi had convinced them to infiltrate the death?s hand clan to ?rescue? Koren?s father; a member of the death?s hand clan! Koren and Cheel finally escape from their cell to go find koren?s father to question him further. They unknowingly find the leader?s chambers and see none other than koren?s father! Not only was koren?s father in the death?s hand clan, he was the leader! Koren nearly loses control and unleashes hi full power, which has never been seen before in the series, but is barely kept calm by Cheel. Koren and Cheel decide to strategically bring down the death?s hand clan, saving koren?s father for last. They are successful, and barely defeat koren?s father after using both of their powers at full force. Upon returning to konoha, battered and beating and barely alive, they are celebrated for their heroics. Thay are automatically graduated from ninja academy and made jonin.

No, more like Cos-play + acting. Unfourtunately, if you've ever been on Youtube, you'd know that for some reason "anime fans" and "people with acting ablity" are in different circles in the Venn Diagram.

That said, I think you should go ahead and try to make an episode. If you actually have the video-creating skills to make it look believable, then after you make a few episodes I'm sure it'll get a following. However, if you just film this in your backyard and half the time you can see your neighbors house in the horizon, don't expect many fans.

How can I get it through to you that this is almost completely unrelated to Naruto! Only two characters will appear in both Naruto and Ninja Academy, one of them, is she appears at all, will be Tsunade, and she will be one year old (but I have found the perfect one-year-old, if her mther will let her act in this) and the other appears in like two episodes of Naruto, and neither will have a particularly large part in Ninja Academy. this isn't cosplay, it's just acting. Completely new story (well, there may be a few chioches here and there, but they're unavoidable), new characters, new everything.

Dressing up as ninjas in the style of the Naruto universe is Cos-play in my book, even if your not dressing up as a certain character.

But that's not the point. The point is, do you have the actors, technology, filming locations, and props to make it interesting? Or is going to turn out like those youtube videos.

That kinda reminds me of a movie I saw once on youtube:

A kid just built a really cool model airplane, the kind where you actually use gas to fuel it. So, he finally built it and he was running it down a landing strip when I guess it hit a rock or something and it started to tip over, and one of the wings was grinding apart on the ground and then it jumped and started spining with pieces from the propeller falling off, and then i guess the propeller got jammed because it smashed into a tree and the friction of the propeller not turning, got so intence that the wholething set on fire and exploded in a mini-fireball.
