I'm wondering since no matter whenever i try to make a DVD it's Rarly works.
Question:
What Program was used to make the DVD (AMV Hell Perfect Collection Disk 1)?
I am sure it wasn't Roxio cause on Roxio's menu only allows a 29 second song.
Also i noticed you added Subtitles and Multiple Languages (i think it was on AMV 1, i'm not sure).
I have wanted to make video's that were Dual-Audio (.mkv or .ogg) into DVD's, but don't know a program that will allow it.

I, personally, use DVD Architect by Sony. It's great, but not in some ways. It's good when it tells you whether or not you can use a video or audio file, and it lets you use multiple languages and subtitles, but if you put a single movie on it with no menu or anything, it makes the file 5 gigs, too big for and single-layer disc, so you have to lower the quality. but really, other than that, it works great for me.

Well i do have a Dual Layer DVD Burner so if i have to go past that to Dual-Layer DVD (i think it was 8.5 GB) then i can, but i want to be POSITIVE it will work. I Only have 3 DVD DL Disks and i don't want to waste them.
I'll try out that program.

Well, it is a quite expensive program (It's made by Sony, what do you expect?!). I got it with Vegas, which cost around $400. But you could get the trial from the Sony website.

It seems like this is the only software topic around here so I want to ask one thing here.
Which software do you recommend for video editing|AMV making?
Everyone tells me Adobe Premiere is the best (huh?) but it (and other Adobe products) don't want to even install under win2003... The only thing I can use right now is Sony Vegas but it can't open MKV files (which are 90% of my video files). Maybe there is some plug-in for SV to open matroska files? (mkvmerge is a good thing but I need to convert more than ten movies which can eat up to 10GB which I don't have)
Please help, I'm stuck with VirtualDub! :'(

I found a program that makes pretty good dvds, it's called X-to-DVD, you can find it online if you look for it.
It makes menus which aren't necessarily that incredible but i was able to fit 8 episodes of the same tv show onto one dvd, and it played fine.
It will also convert almost any file into a video dvd, i even used it to make a quicktime video into a dvd.

Nero is a pretty popular ripping/burning program.

Are those mkv files h264 codec or some other codec? If they are h264, it will be tough to extract vids you can use in vegas from it. If it is something else (most likely xvid if it is something other than h264), then converting it is relatively easy and it isnt hard on hard drive space. If it isnt in h264 codec, just say so and I can recommend a program that will quickly and effectively convert the files into xvid, avi format.
Though, with the method I use, I have to run the vid clips through wmm and save them as wmv in order to get them to actually work with vegas (it doesnt seem to like xvid, avi files). It can take a little bit of time, but not much quality seems to be lost during it all so it works for me (I'm new at making amv's and working on my first one still...school eats up a lot of my time, so not able to really work on it much).
To the OP, I dont know how good this program is, but Cyberlink PowerProducer might work for what you're looking for. Its on my comp but I have never tried using it, so it might work or it might not.

Thanks everyone for answering.
2emrfish6:
yeah, XViD mostly. But H.264 takes the second place. ^_^
I ended up using MKVEGUI and VirtualDub... *sigh*
