I was just wondering if anybody else has found an anime or a band that you really liked from watching one of the AMV Hells, if so which one(s).
I found Battle Athletes Victory, and Lucky Star (though i probably would have found it anyway), and for bands Reel big fish... which i'm listening to now.

I hadn't really watched that much anime for the past couple of years but I really started watching again after seeing the AMV Hell series. So I guess I found Excel Saga, Death Note, Azumanga Daioh, Fruits Basket, Elfen Lied and Evangelion.

I found out about Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan through AMV Hell. And Paranoia Agent, too...(mainly because that kid with that gleaming smile scared me. o_o ) Also found out about Yakitate!! Japan. Like PeanutSteak, I started watching a lot more anime after AMV Hell.

This is just a few that I got interested in because of AMV Hell. Ah My Goddess, Azumanga Daioh, Chobits, Dokuro-chan, and Mahou Sensei Negima. There are probably more but I cant think of any more right now.

Wow, I can't believe some of you got into Dokuro-chan from watching AMV Hell series, I saw it way before I saw any AMV Hell...

A lot of anime, no? The amount of anime I had seen before I saw AMV Hell series wasn't exactly huge, about 40 series'. I mainly read manga.

And as for music, none really. There is some songs that the series got me into, but other than that most of the music I liked, I already was a fan of the bands. The only band I could say Hell got me into was Great Big Sea.


I forgot to mention The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Well, Hell 4 got me into it, but as soon as I found out Haruhi was to blame for the ****ty ending of Lucky Star, and that there would be no more made, I stopped watching it. (I was only at episode 4 anyways). I saw Lucky Star long before I saw any Haruhi by the way.

Along those lines, I discovered Rahxephon from the "Euphoria" AMV and although I'd heard of it, I didn't have a really strong interest in Haruhi until I watched "Candy Pop."

I started watching death note after seeing how many submissions we were getting for hell 4.

I've found a LOT of songs that I like from things submitted to AMV Hell. I dunno why, but I can rarely enjoy a song just from hearing it. I need some kind of visual feedback. There have been songs that I've heard multiple times and never really liked, but then as soon as I see a cool video that uses the song, I will suddenly start liking it. It's kinda weird :p

Before i saw AMV hell (3 i saw first), the last anime i had watched was Yu-gi-oh! I found out about AMV hell from a Halo version called HMV hell. So....AMV hell kinda got me back into anime in general...
