Im not sure why amv hell 4 was "the last one". amv hell is quite successfull done know why they would discontinue it.


To be blunt I think regular AMVs SUCK ...badly. The action ones 99 percent of the time are just random action clips to a song thats been used in over 9000 amvs. The ones that are supposed to be funny are only funny for the first 10 seconds then the joke wears off and its not funny any more and i lose intrest.

I used to HATE amvs with a passion untill somehow i found amv hell 3. With normal amvs i would get bored within the first minute but with amv hell i never at ANY point thought "im bored". Im not saying that every clip was good per say, some were "obvious jokes" but its so fast paced and theres alot of jokes that were pure genius as well. Like the titanic/evangelion scene in amv hell 3, PURE GENIUS.

Anyone agree? dissagree? (i know I was very blunt)

If you believe that, then you haven't seen any of the great AMVs, like The AMV Before Halloween, and Azumanga DIE-OH.

If you would, please take a little bit of time to view some of these AMVs that I'm going to link, and if you still don't like regular AMVs, you're a lost cause...

Those are some of the best 'regular' AMVs I've come across. But please have a look, and we'll see if you don't like regular AMVs after having watched them.

I've actually found 2 Black Cat AMV's that I think are pretty dang good, as well as some others, I'll post the links to them when I get around to it (right now I have to go to bed, and it takes some work to get the links working properly).

Yep, regular AMVs don't necessarily suck, it just happens that a LOT of them do. The really great ones are few and far between.

It's exactly the same with AMV Hell-like stuff. It just happens that we already filtered through all of the crappy ones, so you don't have to :p

You hit the nail on the head there. Only about 10% of the AMVs I've DL'ed are still on my computer. The reason is pretty simple, anyone can make them, anyone can post them, and it's rare for someone to produce a gem on their first attempt. If I posted my projects from the multimedia class anyone who watched them would think they were steaming piles, and I'd have to agree with them; it's a necessary step in the process of getting better though.

That's also the biggest reason they don't want to make another one... They don't want to sift through the steaming crap to find the few bits of good corn...
