Actually met a Japanese person? Not an adult like a professor, but like ones in our generation? I THINK there are Japanese people at my college, but I'm not about go to up to a person that looks Japanese and ask: "So How's Japan?"
Or "What do you know about Tokyo?" Not saying I would go up to ANY asian looking person and ask this I have a vauge idea of how say a chinese person's facial features differs from that of a japanese persons. And I have only met one before, he was in my troop and then went to a japanese school. SO:

Have you ever met one?

If Yes How did you go about it?

If No how would you?

My friend once asked a Korean person aparently if they knew anything about Japan, and while its not supposed to be funny, I cannot help but laugh at the aftermath.

Japanese people are not gods. People who think so are weaboos. I'm sure real Japanese teenagers are actually just as boring and vacant as we are. except they play even more video games (if that were possible)

WEE-A-BOO!! WEE-A-BOO!!

*ahem* anyway, do you live in Alaska or something? Of course people have met Japanese people, they're all over the place.

How did I meet this Japanese person? The same way I met all my other friends, we shared a class, had similar friends, sat next to each other once, etc. There are no special things you should have to do to be friends with a Japanese person.

Trying to meet a person of a certain racial background is silly. Just try to be open to everyone.

That being said, it's always good to be able to distinguish between Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese people. Showing that you can identify their racial background is a good conversation topic.

ah, sorry, I sometimes make the mistake of assuming everyone on the internet is from America.

I guess in Siberia it's much different, mostly everyone would be Siberian, and foreigners are much rarer than here in the States.

Exactly. I know a girl and guy who are siblings that moved from Japan. They're fluent in English and live normal lives.

Dually noted: 'Avoid Standing near Japanese people at all costs: they fall over like dead logs, and can be trip hazards: AVOID AT ALL COSTS WHEN NEAR WATER!!!.'

Thanks!

That's probably because everyone likes to jokingly say that things taste like chicken.

Modern man has some of the fattier meats. Judging from previously seen pics, I would guess that even you would end up being considered 65/35.

I like the direction this thread has taken, first asking if any of you have ever met an asian person, and then asking if any of you have ever eaten one. This has now become the Hannibal Lector of Threads!

I dont know if thats GOOD or not, but whenever Anthony Hopkins makes it into an AMV hell thread, you know it's become more awesome then other threads.
