I was just wondering if anyone else has seen the live action death note movies.

If not they are really awesome and you should check them out, opinions and comments are welcome here.

I've seen both, and they are worth watching just for the CGI shinigami. :o

The casting is very good, especially for L.

I agree that having a live action movie is somewhat redundant, because it can't really add anything to the excellent manga or anime versions, but it is still very well done.

EDIT: I haven't checked Ebay, it's probably there but I don't know if it would have English subs or not.

I believe it is the korean DVD of it that has english subs

i've seen the first one but not the second one. normally i'm not a fan of live action anime spin offs{Sailor Moon Live Action for exsample} but the Death Note one was well casted and the CGI for Ryuk{and i'm assuming Rem, haven't seen yet} was really good.

and amazon has region 3 dvds of both movies with english subs so im gonna try to get that... yay for bonus features! in japanese! which i dont speak! why is everything an exclamation! hey that was a question not an exclamation! wait maybe if i used periods or question marks instead of the exclamation point! that might work!

Well i have now watched both.

They are good except they take a little creative liberty with the story, you know just ignoring everything after episode 25, and altering 25 itself.

But it&#39;s pretty good.
