I'm sure that most if not all people who have signed up for this forum has seen all the AMV Hells (or atleast some) and was wondering when the next one will be. But whenever its going to be, I want it to be another motion picture because AMV Hell 4 was AMAZING. That is why I started this democratic vote on the AMV Hell forum. Show your support and vote Yes;(if you vote No, I respect your decision but in my unconcious mind I will think your a grouch). VOTE!!!!!

AMv Hell is done, pretty much...and the people behind Hell 4's clips have either moved to Anime Remix or to AMV Blitz (is there a third option I havn't heard of?)

Zarx is okay with Hell-like projects, but they cannot use the AMV Hell name anywhere.

Well, mostly out of respect for AMV Hell's creator. Sure someone could make something and call it AMV Hell 5, but they'd be ridiculed off the internet.

copyright / trademark infringement, even if it was to be found that it was not copyrighted, It has already been coined so its use would be unwise...
Kinda like starting a food chain and calling it MC Donalds, there might be some issues, and the reason why they wouldn't want others to use it is because if your project is total Crap they don't want to have it damage the name

Trust me. If anyone understands, it would be me. You can ask anyone here (though you might get better results from AMVP, masterage, Matt_Colly, or even Zarxrax himself). You can kick and scream all you want, but AMV Hell is officially retired. Link to a long discussion here. (http://amvhell.com/index.php/topic,1169.120.html) It's best to leave it alone. Trust me, Zarxrax cares. And because he cares, we care. Maybe we can take it later, but not now. For the time being, you will be supported in your own en devours or if you join on another project. It's not really a question of copyright. It's more of a question of respect. Although there seems to be a general deterioration of this valuable resource on the internet, some of us still would like to hold on to it. We ask you do the same.

I would agree with you. If Zarx REALLY wants to stop, thats fine by me. However, I would prefer we have at least one "closing" AMV Hell to end it. And I would prefer even more it goes on for longer, as long as people keep making AMV's.

Um... and the fact that AMV Hell 4 is so aptly titled "The Last One" doesn't automatically make it the "closing" one? Personally, I feel it should be allowed to continue, even if Zarxrax doesn't want to do it any more. But, it is his project, so I'll let "Zenpai" be.

OMG.... I might be wrong about this but my understanding is that they don't care if there is a 7th AMV HELL or not, as long as it is not called AMV HELL... They just didn't feel like making anymore

I've been thinking about starting my own AMV Hell - type movies. I don't even know what I'd call it. But, I don't know a good program to use (besides sony vegas). Anyone know what Zarxrax uses to compile the AMVs? It looks like a great program, and I'd like to know where he got it.

personally I'd love to see another amv hell that would be great to see but I understand if the creators want to stop it here for me they wouldn't have to go to all the trouble of makeing another big movie style amv hell could make a few small ones i hope they don't totally kill off amv hell just to end it just encase someday creators decide to make another one just for fun
