First of all, hello, I'm a longtime watcher of AMV Hell, but I never joined the forums until now. What made me register? Well, I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to. The question is, What is the source of this video?

http://www.m0ar.org/2863 (Note: Contains flash video w/sound)

Specifically, I want to know more about the version of Lucky Star present in the video - who made it, why they made it, was it company or fan-made, etc. So far the only clue I have is that one comment on that page that suggests it was changed for a foreign audience, but I haven't been able to confirm anything. Any information at all would be useful to me in my search, even just the name of the song. Thanks very much!

it looks fan made to me, and the only company that changes an anime for 'foreign' audiences is 4kids and they havent touched lucky star to my knowledge so it wouldn't be touched to appeal to a different audience

Yeah I was thinking that just because it was so hard to find anything about it...if it was something 'official' it seems like it would have been noted somewhere.

Reason to register at AMV Hell...
To submit clips...nope.
To ask a question...yes.

You have my attention now. Anywho it was definitely fan made I will check Nico Nico Douga to see if someone there made it. They produce an astounding amount of Lucky Star MAD's material over there.

I would have submitted dozens of clips already if I had the means of producing them. I've been meaning to pick up Vegas or something similar for a while now but I never seem to have enough money to spare :( . WMM frustrates me and I do not like to use pirated software, so I don't really consider those options. Plus I am absolutely clueless at encoding video. Maybe someday soon I will be submitting clips, after I have overcome these obstacles. I have lots of good ideas :).

WMM is the easiest thing to use, might want to give up if you don't already experiment with that. Vegas is way too much of a leap. No need to learn anything special. Just put some video in a video editor and hit publish. Experiment a little, takes no learning just tests. But I get where your coming from.

Also I have had no luck on Nico Nico yet so I am running a different test to find the videos creator. Should take two days at most if nothing by then then I am out of ideas.

Question, you ever see the anime Sorcerous Stabber Orphen?

If so then I think I just found a new best friend. If not then, oh well, back to the video at hand.

That's the thing, I learned video editing back in high school on Premiere Pro. Going down to WMM is hard because it's a huge leap backwards...but I may give it another shot if I can't snag another program.

Thanks for your help, too. It looks like a good bit of work went into this, and was just wondering if there might be more to it than just this video.

Sorry, afraid I can't claim that connection, though I think I've heard of it. My name was in fact lifted from the first Metroid Prime game. It's not too common so if you see it elsewhere chances are good it's me. :)

I am not a Metroid fan. The only game I played out of that series was "Prime Hunters" great game but not enough for me to care about the story much.

My summary: Some chick shots stuff and everything explodes. Then end...oh and there's this awesome slug guy...who dies, the end.

I am not a big Metroid fan either, but Metroid Prime 1 and 2 were both amazing, I highly recommend them if you happen to have a GameCube or Wii with a GameCube/classic controller. If you liked Hunters you'd love those.

3 though...I tried to play it, but I couldn't get five minutes into it. Keeping the remote pointed at the screen the entire game was just not something I wanted to do. It was just tiring.

i didn't like the lack of save points in the metroid prime games.
