I was one of those people who downloaded the original video when it first came out. I was originally going to wait until after Otakon 2004 to download it (since I usually attend Otakon, and I try to avoid downloading videos that I feel would be in the main contest). However, after hearing about the video's success at Animazement and Fanime, I ended up downloading that and AMV Hell 2, and that's what got me hooked (and anxious for AMV Hell 3).

A friend of mine sent me a link to AMV 3 on youtube and convinced me it was well worth the hour and some minutes. Been a fan ever since. DVD and all.

Im an anime collector, so anything Anime realated is a must have; and when the first AMV Hell generated alot of traffic on the forums, just had to get it. I picked the first one off of AMV.org, and then I found this site when I Googled "AMV HELL" been a loyal fan ever since. Only recently taken to posting on the forums, though

Well, Im a loyal fan to all things Anime related really...its just this series is REALLY good.

i was at college, in the student center and a bunch of people had gathered around one of the sitting areas. A person, i forget who it was was player AMV Hell 4 on their laptop, i ended up sitting there for like an hour.

Scary close!!!

I was in college, in the Student Union Building, and a bunch of people I had never met were gathered around a laptop... I saw a flash of an anime I recognized, so I walked over to investigate. They were watching AMV Hell 3 on google video. As soon as it ended I went back to my dorm and watched it again from the beginning. Twice.

I was looking for Excel Saga videos on Youtube, and came up with someone's favorite AMV Hell 3 clips. I assumed at the time that AMV Hell was, like, something they showed during commercial breaks on MTV or Adult Swim or something. (I have no cable.) Then when I went back to search for a particular clip, I found the rest of the story.

1st i randomly downloaded AMV Hell 0, that was funny as hell (was about a year ago) and i somewhat didn't even think that there might be another amv's hell, but a few months ago found some death note moments on youtube from hell 4, downloaded every amv hell, whatched each like 4 times and every time i laughet out loud. Amv Hell is addictive...i need...MORE :D

AMVHell 1,2,3 and 0 were put on at the first meeting I went to at the local anime-club. Half through 0 it was decided that this was enough. It took quite some time before I saw the rest of it.

I heard of it on an anime-forum. I didn't watch AMVs because a lot of has poor taste and quality, but they said it's different. At first I didn't believe it, then I saw one of the clips on Youtube - the 'Lucky Note' from 4 -, so I said: 'I must see it.' And my view of AMVs turned upside down. I watched first 1 and 2, then 4, 3, CE. I'm well-prepared before 0, but I didn't expect this is much worse - some clips in a good way, some clips not - than I can ever imagine. It tainted my poor innocent heart :P

Well, like most of the things I'm into nowadays, it was introduced to me by someone I know. This time it was my brother, and this was before AMV Hell 3 came out. I watched 1 & 2 countless times, and when 3 came out, a full-length film, I probably watched it more than 1 & 2 combined. ;D
Even though I was merely in grade 8, I still found Hell 0 to be hilarious. Although showing it to other people was always rather uncomfortable...I did it anyway, though. ;)

I saw this video of this guy`s fav clips on AMV Hell 4, then after a LOOOONG time I had nothing to do, I searched Fav AMV Hell 4 clips, then I found some parts of the whole thing. Then after a LOOOONG time (xD) I watched it, and now I watch it when I have nothing to do.

My anime club leaders burned AMV Hell 3 onto a disk for the club to watch... it may have been that very video that convinced me that I must watch enough anime to a) understand every joke that is made in the video b) have my eyeballs crawl inside my brain so as not to be forced to stare at a screen any longer.

AMV Hell 3 made me the weaboo I am today!

i was at school, and i a friend of my friend had it on his ipod, and when i went home i looked it up, and i watched amv hell 3, then i dl'ed amv hell 4 and watched it, and this was about a 3 quarters of a year ago

i randomly found the Azumanga Daioh short version of AMV Hell 3 on youtube (bout 1 and a half years ago), then immediately watched the full version of AMV hell 3(i was like :o What?! an hour!!) , then the rest of them, then 4 when it came out. I also showed a couple of my friends too.

I remember it was last year sometime and was on animemusicevideo and i found one called amv hell. I downloaded it and thought it was good so i had a look for more i got the second one and then the third i was fallin in love with the HELLS. the next one i got was hell 0 and this was great but disturbing and just 2 months ago i got the 4th

Sit back and hear my story of wonder and a PSP.
It was a dark and dreary sunday and I was at a party with my freinds (But I usually sink into the background) As I sunk I saw my big brother's freinds sitting on a couch and they were laughing at a PSP. I walked over and looked at what was on it (It was playing the Titanic scene from AMV hell 3). I laughed but then they pushed me away. I asked what that was. They said "AMV hell 3". I forgot about it for bout a year. Bout a year or two later I was bored so I though "There must be something intresting on Youtube." Then I remembered the titanic scene I saw 1-2 years earlyer. After trying many different names like AMV list, AMV heck (Yes I looked up AMV heck -_-) AMV montauce. Then I found it. I watched AMV hell 3 in one sitting. I was so mesmerized by it I watched AMV hell 2. I though "THIS IS AWSOME!!!!" Then about 2 months ago I realized AMV Hell 4 was out so I watched that in one sitting. When I read the final messege I tought cool, nice then I was like "NoOoOoO!!!" I had seen the scarest thing in my life. It read "This is REALLY the last one." I almost cryed. I hope they will be making another.

A while ago you could upload videos that were longer than 10 minutes if you had a director account. But I don't think it's possible anymore.

My introduction to AMVHell was one of the most fun nights of my life. I was at a friends birthday party, whiling away the evening eating delicious cake and watching cartoons. As things began to settle down, one of the other guests (not an aquantence of mine at the time) pulled out his video Ipod and hooked a computer speaker into the headphone jack. The three of us (me, the Ipod guy, and the birthday boy) spent the next our huddled around a 3 inch screen, and that night I drove home humming "Country Road" and trying really hard to remember the name Azumanga Daioh.

To be quite honest, and I'll have to ask my brother because I can't remember precisely, I think I fell asleep the first time I watched Hell 3...I must have been really tired. Or maybe (considering that the first two were about 5 minutes each) I just wasn't expecting it to be a full hour long. :P

(I think it was 2 summers ago) Me and a group of my friends would hang out every weekend at my one friend's house. It was a weekend ritual to go there, and one weekend, one of my friends that didn't go over too often came and went into the computer room for a while. She came out about an hour later asking if anyone wanted to see AMV Hell 3. Most of us didn't know what it was, we all watch it and loved it. XD Iv'e been hooked ever since.

Was at a video game center and the owner and his friends let me and a friend of mine stay after close. Was like 3 in the morning when he brought out Amv hell 3 on the projection screen.

My friend told me about it. He later burned the AMV DVD (Disk 1) for me and i watched them.
I still to this day, like others will say, 0 is STILL ****ed up (Yeah you think).

0/0 i think had more comedy in it and that made me laugh alot more.

Long time ago back when Win MX was a good place to download stuff I had downloaded a TON of amv's off of other people... The early AMV Hells were some of those I had obtained. ;D

Then a friend of mine had told me about this huge amv that was totally awesome but took him forever to download... lo and behold, AMV Hell 3. :D

You wouldn't believe how many people I've introduced to the AMV Hell series... 8)

I saw AMV Hell for the first time when it premiered at Animazement in Durham NC in 2004. It won "Fan Favorite" when a lot of people thought it should have been "First Place". I downloaded it and AMV Hell 2 when I got home from the con, and I was a fan from then on.

Since then, I've seen most of the vids shortly after their release (the exceptions being 0 and /0: It took me at least year to even try to get through 0 and even then I only did at a friend's request... and I'm not even gonna bother with /0, no offense to you guys).
