After further investigation, I noticed that many of the bot attack posts were using the EMail address domain of mail.com. I've banned this EMail from making any posts on the forum (at least until we get CAPCHA in place). However, I'm not ruling out the possibility that some people are actual members who use @mail.com.

If you are, EMail me at oppdis@gmail.com as PMs for these addresses are also disabled (it's included with the post banning, so I don't have a choice).

I used to have an EMail there. I just went to the website and, what do you know, an EMail service still.

Judging by the random characters before the EMail they obviously didn't take time to register with the service.

I'm having other problems with posting... It continually says that I've entered a banned url while I'm trying to post. Then I have to methodically castrate my poor post until some arbitrary limit is met.

Do you have any insights on this? I checked all over the FAQ and forum rules and can't find anything. Is there a list of banned urls to make my life easier?

Or is it some other problem, like swearing being banned? To not sound like an idiot here, I'm going to post a swear to see if it works: ****

The new captcha I've added seems to be working, so I'll try disabling the other spam filters and see how it works out.
