I just finished watching GANTZ, and overall I thought it was a great anime. Here are my gripes/qs:

Question 1: What exactly happened to the Biker gang leader? He just drop out of existance? I remember him doing the intro at the end of an episode for the upcomming episode, and one of the characters speculated that he may actually be dead...although if he did die again, wouldn't he be brought back to the room anyways?

Gripe 1: Hesitation. It made sence in the first few episodes and two missions, but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I remember one scene, when they were fighting the Suzuki Aliens the female Kei says shes going to shoot them (when Kateau is being overwhealmed by a whole mess of em) and the scene goes something like this: "I have to shoot them, its the only way!....*more dialoge and pausing* "I have to shoot them!" *gun wavering a bit* "I'm still gonna shoot them!".... "Alright, I'm getting ready!" ... *aims for a good two minutes at the back of one's head* "OK!" *Shoots, alien dodges*

And Finally: WHat did you guys think of the ending? I Liked it, but I wouldn't have complained it it had ended differently... it seemed just a little dragged out, and primarily focused on letting the viewer have the satisfaction of seeing the two psycopaths die in nasty ways.

Final Q: What exactly happened at the end? Kei was alone again, cause the girl he was trying to save died, but what happened at the end?

For me = Have seen it, know what it is and don't know the answers to the questions.
But Gantz was great anyway, even if it was a little confusing in the end.

I guess the main thing I had a problem with was the fact that one of the characters just dissapeared, without a trace and no explanation.

I also wish the anime followed the manga more and instead of killing everyone off, they kept some on for the other missions.

its on my list of things to watch, but judging from your questions, its like many other stories, things are left open for debate and/or just not thought of by the creators when they made it.
