already seen chobits, aumanga daioh, and a good portion of harihi susmiya- so I may want to hold off on that one, cause I have seen most of it..

I was thinking about Ranma 1/2... any suggestions?

I second Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Excel Saga, and 2 thumbs down for Pani Poni Dash

Also, I recommend School Rumble and Minami-ke, and possibly Gintama.

As for Ranma 1/2, that's what got me into Manga and Anime, and it is absolutely very good. I hope you consider reading the Manga also, because that is just as good, but even more story.

Only problem, 7 seasons may seem daunting, but it's enjoyable all the time.

It really all depends on what type of humor you're looking for. For random humor, you should go for excel saga and maybe love Hina. If you want lot's of parodies and japanese culture humor, go for Lucky Star or something along those lines.

If we're thinking of the same clip, then it was School Rumble. Also I recommend Lucky Star, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and ??h....already been mentioned.

From what I thhink when you say school rumble is the wierd clip when the students are playing that Samuri horseback game.

AZUMANGA IS THE BEST OF ALL
i got the entire manga collection and read it in a day... had to keep from crying at the end though... thinking that there would be no more... but it was easily the funniest thing i have ever read. but ive only seen 8 episodes of the anime, im about to continue, if i can find them in japanese (have i yet expressed my hatred of the adv dub?)

if you want Azumanga subbed, then use a Veoh client.

Its (most of the time) awesome at pinpointing what you want to find. I got every single episode of Azumanga Daioh subbed except 1.

i use veohtv but it thinks that i dont have the right codecs to play flv and mpeg files, havent tested any others, but i do have them veohtv is just being stupid.

Yep, that's school rumble, gun fight is like the 2nd episode of the 2nd season.

And yeah, either veoh or guba or stage6 usually have the whole Azumanga daioh anime online.

Sadly, he mentioned already seeing it.

I think a user on Google going by LeKordes or something has all but 23 and 24 up. Or try Stage6.

Air Gear can be pretty funny, but maybe a little too serious.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, I just watched the fourth episode, and I like the series alot so far, nothing to make me laugh uproariously, but still damn good. I really liked episode 4:

"Look into my eyes and see what I'm feelng"

I forgot to mention Dokuro-chan, Dai Mahou Touge and Seto no Hanayome. Seto no Hanayome may be the funniest anime I've seen ^^

Anyway, my recommendations are also Excel Saga, Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan, and Please Teacher (though that one turns from romantic comedy to just romantic by the end of it).

Both clips are from School Rumble. However, the clip of the horseback game set to Duel of the Fates is from season one, whereas the CSS clip is from season two.

It's far from a slaughterfest. If you watch the CSS clip, you'll notice that the girl who gets shot in the head is hit with a plastic bullet.
