i don't know if you heard about it or not, but there is gonna be a live action version of akira.

normally i'd say the same, it has good potential for a live action
exept for the fact that the director is gonna be (hold onto your hats, it's gonna be bad) leonardo dicaprio
can you imagine, a live action akira done by dicaprio, that just can't be good

Live action DBZ has potential, as it is directed by Stephen Chow....but really even with that there's not much hope.


And Leonardo Dicaprio isn't directing Akira....Ruairi Robinson is. Leonardo is just one of 3 producers.

Also, it will be 2 movies, and it will cover all the manga, not the shortened version of the original movie.
