Hello! AMV Hell fans. As you might already know, "Anime Remix" is a project that set out to emulate the AMV Hell series since it's indefinite hiatus.

I'm here to tell you that "Anime Remix: Mix 1" will be released this Saturday. (yay!)

We hope that come this Saturday you can find some time to enjoy our anime-humor compilation.

Should be about 25 minutes long, or the length of a regular anime episode.

How often do you plan on releasing more of them? Or is there anything even resembling a timescale? I know I sure as hell wouldn't have one, so I'm not forcing you hand or anything, I'm just wondering.

Well, I think we're planning for Mix 2 to be released in about 8 months, but that's not definite at all.

Hm, not really, there are a few imitators, and all that will really define a "successor" is popularity with the anime-fan masses....

I just think you should watch it for the entertainment value.... 8)

All you have to judge is whichever is the best: "AMV Blitz!" or "Anime Remix"... AMV Blitz! will be out late June as far as I remember...

well... after saving a dwarf that was locked in an outhouse, my download was finally completed, and so commenced the watching!

note 1: some are quite seizure-i-fic, but still good. also some are very load compared to their neighbors, ow headphones...

note 2: good censors when needed, but i still seen a nipple.

note 3: a little more inuyasha then i&#39;m used to seeing in these, but it was well placed.

lastly: OMG i seen some Magic Knight Rayearth in the credits... still can&#39;t believe i caught that...


Overall: I give it 3 and a 3/8th of a llama (sorry llama, sometimes chainsaws are required) out of 4 llamas. It shall join my collection of amv&#39;s stored on my flashdrive used to torture and convert new watchers.

I just watched it and I thought it wasn&#39;t bad. There were a few funny clips, and a few I didn&#39;t get. Comedy is pretty subjective anyway.

One thing that needs to improve though is the video quality ! 300MB for 30 minutes, the encode should have been flawless, but in fact it was pretty bad. There was a lot of interlacing, which really screws with the compression. Something to bear in mind for part 2.

I loled at the rapist glasses clip because I just got my Gendo cosplay together, complete with the glasses.

I still stick to what I said:

For sure it passed my expectations, teh intro was amazing.. not to mention teh clips.. oh and the ending, right away I knew it was edited by Chiikaboom.. she did an outstanding job and it made me all tingly inside, teh whole project did.. it was worth teh wait =] srsly.. now I can&#39;t wait for Mix 2 so I can actually participate ( using my brothers comp now ;p )

Just watched it. I think it was great, I&#39;m easily entertained so I really enjoyed it. ^^
I loved the intro. And the quality didn&#39;t bother me at all..

Looking forward to mix 2, and I hope I can come up with something good so I can participate XD

I was thinking of having Konata blackmail Light into killing Yuki by sending him a picture of him and L kissing (from the Mix), but I decided against it. Instead they&#39;re just friends apparently....

Watched it today and liked it. :)
Humor&#39;s not quite as consistent as AMV Hell 3 & 4, but I still liked it better than Hell 1 & 2.

Was the "WHAT THE F--" Interruption meme your attempt at a recurring theme a la Osaka/Ellen Feiss from AMV Hell 3 or the "OC/Dear Sister" parody from AMV Hell 4? Also, there were a little too many similar screaming clips... ::)

But all in all, it was definitely a good start and I can&#39;t wait for more!


Edit: Can anyone point out contributors from AMV Hell that were also involved in this?

That&#39;s odd, download still works for me. I actually just uploaded a new version that fixed the stupid things I did (interlacing? gaa, I&#39;m so stupid...), so maybe hold off a day if you want. But I also got it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frUSs4-ozCA

For those who pointed out the interlacing problem, thanks. The fixed file is now uploaded in place of the old one. Size is less, but same quality.

If anything looks bad now, it wasn&#39;t my fault anymore, rather it was the clip editor&#39;s fault....or the raws used.

also our server has sent over 40gigs of data, so the server might just be overloading, but it can handle it, also you may need to clear your browser history
