Yeah all that is, is your mising the correct codec to allow your computer to let you watch the file correctly. You can download Xvid/DivX like he said, but on a personal level what I like better is download CCCP (combined community codec pack) because it gives you a lot of codecs plus Zoom player, or simply downloading VLC Media player. VLC Media has the benefit that it also works as a program to open dvds, use the video as wallpaper and you can take snapshots of the video easily with it. But with CCCP it gives you a teeny bit more when it comes to the variety of video file types you can play. Personally, I got all 3 plus more, lol

But it's way better to simply watch your downloaded videos directly from your computer, better quality for both sound and your visual pleasure. The codec thing is a normal problem everyone has at first.

I use Zoom player for all my videos and use VLC to take snapshots when needed. They're all extremely useful.

I used WMP, your codec is the problem. Yet I have to assume someone already told what codec you need.

hmmm i used to have all this other stuff before but then my computer spazzed at me lol and i had 2 start from scratch

Use VLC Player. Never has failed for me. Only video it won't play is Real Video as far as i know.
