I made this thread for the express purpose of collecting all the seals that have been made recently by various members of the forum. Also, discussion of making seals, including ideas, techniques, and constructive criticism are all welcome. Post away!

How do you get the magic wand to select a person so well? Or did you use another tool to get Onizuka out of his background?

Fillers frame looks best I think :D I'm not that good at using Photoshop :( But I use the Polygonal Lasso Tool to render pictures, like characters. As you can see in my SoA and sigs.

I use the polygonal lasso as marco, sometimes the pen tool and sometimes the brush tool =P
it depends. But most of the time I use polygonal lasso tool

^ Looking good ;D How did you give the circle two colors? The black and red. I managed to brush it by putting a 'Clipping Mask' layer on top of it.

the circle actually had a two-tone preset so it was a two-click job.
and NEWS! there we go, abbyssion1337's seal of awesomeness v0.5 (Beta)
just need your opinion. And yes, yes i couldn't help myself about the star. There was nothing that could've been done about the fact. Also, the quality is rather poor because of the small size of the original image.

Well, the cricle isn't perfect and image inside it is too small you should drag it down a little. :D Don't listen to me you've done great job.

I'd drag it down but there is no image left. The circle is made oval so that it could accomodate the image which is higher than it is wide.

oh yes, really can't sya that now, I've slept for four hours today so my judgement is a bit off. Also, after having slept for 4 hours i drove for another 6 so really...
One thing i can tell you now is try to add some filters to make it look smoother.

I went into the blending options for the inner circle and added a Stroke, with fill type gradient, and then just played around a little to make it look (at least a little) metallic

I'm going to mess around with my seal a bit too, try to improve it, smooth out the pixelated edges with the blur tool and everything. I'll post it again when I'm all done. :)

I often think of Paint as far more hardcore than any other program. I've imagined having drawing competitions where you have to use paint. Instant handicap! It'd be an actual challenge for artists used to stylus' and tablets. :D
