It is what it sounds like. I'm a-posting a new leaderboard now. I think it'll be version 9. From now on, the leaderboard will also include a "Time Online" section.

Any discussion pertaining to post counts, ppds, time online, or the leaderboard itself is welcome. We can go off topic too, but try not to do it too much or for too long... it'd be a pain in the butt if it became difficult to find the leaderboards in a thread specifically designed to hold them.

I'll remove him if he asks me to.

I hope he didn't decide to spontaneously leave, in a more impulsive but asukafanesque way, but that seems unlike him. Either way, it's been 2 days, and either he still hasn't gotten onto the forums and realized what he's done, or it was completely his choice. A vote would be a good idea, but give it some time, you never know what could happen. I think Fille could also easily ask Zarx to restore his account, if he has that ability.

Anyway, when I get into the top ten posters, I'm guessing it will be when I pass azusaka110, because I think that Lietuvis' and my post counts have been growing at a fairly even pace. That will be a bit of pride. ;D Also, about 20 more hours until I pass nyuu in time online (Or at least nyuu's current time online, it'll be a while after until I get into the top ten, I'm guessing).

I'm going to do a leaderboard because no one else is doing it. Not that they should, it IS my job. First one in over a year, scarily enough. Moral of the story, I suck.

I actually started it because it was a point of interest in the forums. I eventually decided that though I didn't care much myself, enough people wanted one that it was worth it just for the discussion that would develop. The first couple were posted in a different thread (Random Rants I believe), but the discussion quickly went SO off topic that I saw that it needed its own thread. After a while it turned into a friendly competition between the high posters, but then others got overly obsessed with it *acutecat cough cough*. Eventually, influences like that made everyone overly concerned with their counts and ppds. I stopped doing the leaderboards as often. Then third generation started to trickle in, and I left when I started senior year.

I really get interested in the "dynamics of the forum" sense: it's fun to keep track of who's active and inactive. My tone in the most recent one is because I feel people don't post enough in other threads; count to a million is WAY over-posted. Basically every other thread on the forum is more interesting and deserves way more attention. It's my hope that these boards will spur people to action.
