Anyone recall "The Excellent Anime Adventure"? It was a LP vhs tape, full, of trippy clips from Church of the Subgenious, bizarre Japanese commercials, a few hilarious dubs, AMVs, and some even stranger random bits. I'm almost certain it was 1993 or earlier. There was more than one as well. Had the same title but 1994(?) on the end for the next year.
Some of the stuff I can barely remember on it was a homemade Channel 23 commercial (Max Headroom reference), a B&W robot anime in which the main robot was called No'rel'co (one of the parody dubs), and a AMV with Urusei Yatsura and the music "Something" by the Beatles. I want to say there was also the A-ko dub "Fast Food Freedom Fighters" on it but I'm probably crosslinking bad memory with other old, old... old vhs tapes I've lost over the years.
The guy who made it lived in FL at the time.
