i always chuckle at Steven king books. i always think of the sketch he did on that cartoon show (animanicas i think) where he admits he doesn't even try to write good books anymore. he just types random words in a row and lets people buy them.

i know he's better than that, but i always think of this for some reason.

yes; the Langoliers and Eyes of the Dragon come to mind as works of his i liked. eyes of the dragon is actually a very tame stephen king book, but i had to read it in 6th grade ( again, tame) and i liked it then. i still have it on my bookshelf, incidentally.

i finished "definatly dead" and now reading "all together dead;" the next in the series. i like me my were-tiger action, meow!!

eyes is "eh." it's not going to knock you for loop, but it's solid. i liked langoliers alot though, and even made myself sit though the movie. i was incredibly scared watching it, but i made myself do it as i liked the book.

I didn't like Lord of the Flies too much.. Again, probably because it was mandatory. I kinda liked The Chrysalids, but then didn't like it for some reason.. I can't remember.

I'm actually reading Pride and Prejudice right now, just so I can say I've read it, but I'm finding it really hard to finish. I lost my reading momentum too soon. Which is a shame, because I've got 3 other books I'd like to read after, like V for Vendetta (Graphic Novel), Vulcan Soul, and I lost the other one I guess.

Yeah, I've read a few volumes of the light novels, some of the manga (which came after, but I was interested anyway) and watched the anime.. I didn't find anything offensive, aside from the fact that there's no character based on me, which is frutile.
So they're probably going to modify a lot of things to focus on romance or drama, and less intellectual mystery and sci-fi/fantasy intrigue. Which should make it crap.

Either that or we'll be seeing Kyonko soon.
