1. I felt the need to rant a bit and I'll explain. I'm one to believe that people have two existences, a physical existence (i.e yourself), and a memorized existence (i.e a persons memories of you).

Due to this death has a different meaning to me, you can die, but as long as your remembered you still exist sorta. when you are forgotten, it's sorta like death all over again, but worse cause you arn't remembered and more or less no longer exist (baring the existence of a soul).

2. Because of the above, Episode 8 of Clannad made me cry.

Batman notably can't breath in space despite how many other characters a shown doing it there's always a reason, usually cause the character is an alien (Starfire and Lobo fit here, Superman has been shown in space with and without a breathing apparatus) or because they have some sort of special ability (animal man using his powers to copy the space dolphin's ability to travel in space then later the sun-eaters) or because they some piece of technology (the Green Lanterns' rings fit here(So does any power ring regardless of what color it is), Blue Beetle(I think) and I'm pretty sure the New Gods use tech to do it as well (for that matter Darkseid and his forces probably fit here too) but no there is no explanation for the cigar

I'm kind of persuative so when people say smth is good or it counts as classic, i usually believe it's good, even not ever checking it out. But if i do check and i don't like it, i never accept the value. you know, sometimes you may like certain aspects of the game, even if the overall quality is so-so. (that works for me at least) With DA, i was pissed with the combat system too, but mostly because it's too hard/annoying, so i played the game through on easy diff. =P. Nothing was annoying except that, i really enjoyed the characters (ohh sweet Zevran), dialogues, quests etc.

if we take KotOR 2 for instance, i hated it, the combat system is MUCH worse for me

but really I liked Jade Empire more than KotOR, and maybe that's because KotOR isn't my favorite star wars game and I played all three of these games around the same time

Honestly I think it's because he's untouchable that his philosophy makes sense while also adding the character, he could have easily turned out like Legato or Johan, or possibly tipped the other way into Gendo territory

Well, solipsism is by no means new, but it sure as hell hasn't been used in too many anime characters until Baccano! So he gets some points for originality (at least in his medium) and his extremely elegant fighting style. Also, he's a smart character, which in most cases is a prerequisite for me liking a character to give them more than a second look. But again, solipsism is by it's very nature amusing, and to see a guy take it seriously is pretty silly.

in any medium solipsism is hard to pull off and I think they did it in that particular way because unless you're going for absolute subtlety you have to demonstrate your particular philosophy in a way where people can understand it without looking it up. You have to admit though. Keep in mind that this is the guy that Czeslaw is afraid of, we're talking about a person that didn't even flinch around Ladd (his mistake though)

Yeah, he's pretty ridiculous in combat and I love him for that. I guess long story short is he just doesn't strike a chord with me the same way Ladd or Firo does. Ultimately it's a matter of opinion. We talked with my friend about that today, I guess the game industry turned into **** about 5 years ago, first with EA, with all their every-year clone releases, then with ubisoft and some other companies. It's sad almost every franchise (except HL) I can think about is bad.

there's still some good in the games industry valve is still good, and Blizzard hasn't completely turned, telltale is strong as always, and while Bethesda's games have decreased somewhat in quality, they really haven't changed much and are therefore still good (and who knows, maybe with new vegas they'll hit their stride and quality will soar back up to Morrowind and Daggerfall levels) and Bioware is still good thanks to the one thing EA has done right by letting them do things their way. Honestly you can't make such a sweeping statement about the games industry EA was never good and Ubisoft had those years when they were still releasing the first 3 PoP games. And even when it comes down to it, you pretty much have to blame the rise of casual gamers for lowering all standards

yeah, E3 is still just an unimpressive as always, and I didn't think Nintendo came out that strong (certainly not as much as everyone did oh say, about 5 years ago, maybe more) a new goldeneye probably won't do anything, you may have noticed they tried that once already and it sucked, JB games haven't been any good since Nightfire (and that's debatable, it had a great first level but the rest of the game was pretty meh) and this a OoT remake isn't that big when you consider that they've done that a couple times already. I will admit that the 3DS looks amazing but it get old once you realize they've released a new DS model every year since the DSlight (though to be fair this is more than just a remake and I'll probably be picking one up) I find it sad that you consider super strong a hardware upgrade that should've been out years ago, another DS model, an idea that's already failed once and a game remake that's already been remade at least twice already but we've really gotten the point where E3 is so sad that much of the reason to watch it is just to riff on it.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention things that came up that I'm looking forward to:
1. 3DS, yeah, I'm not happy with nintendo releasing a new DS every ****ing year but at least this time it is new, and not just a different color or size or slightly better lighting ect
2. The Old Republic, I don't really like MMO's but this is one that might be different enough to work and if not it's still starwars and still made by bioware
3. Fallout New Vegas, a lot of people are aware that I hate it when sequels come out too soon and might be confused as to why I'm looking forward, and that's because it's not too soon, this game might be published by Bethesda but was made by the original Dev's Obsidian studios, so we'll see some Fallout 1 and 2 references and that will be nice
4. Bulletstorm, it will be an over the top shooter but it will at least be intentionally so
5. Metroid Other M, I really like the prime trilogy and while this won't have anything to do with it they certainly took a page out of Retro's(DK just seems like a step down) book on this. One the other hand Team Ninja as a developer is a double edged sword, and I'm not confident that it seems to be a third person game, but that's what team ninja does well.

I'm happy with how Nintendo did at E3. I can't say anything about the others, simply because I don't have their systems (I guess PS2 doesn't even count anymore), but I got everything I wanted except a The World Ends With You sequel from E3. They changed some games up (Kirby, Zelda to a degree, Metroid) and left some similar (Donkey Kong, Goldeneye) so I think they balanced new and old well. If the 3DS works I will be no less than awestruck (not by the fact that it works, but by the concept itself). Also Nintendo has some guts to barely even mention how many awesome classics are getting remakes for the 3DS (Paper Mario, OoT, Star Fox 64, Kingdom Hearts).

I beg to differ about it being a third of a game. The previous Starcraft (and Brood War) had around 30 missions apiece between 3 races. Starcraft 2 has the same number of missions but dedicated to one race with two more to come. Look at it like a PC game version of the Constructicons; they're able to stand alone, but when combined they become a gestalt of badassitude.

P.S. I have a spare copy (got regular version on release day and later found collector's edition) if anybody's looking for a discounted copy.

first I'm a little curios about Nama, the anime seem to push the idea that she was actually Naga (Lina's companion in most of the movies and OVAs) but what was up with that box after Xelos released her soul from the armor. second is the commit from Xelos after Lina beat Shagbranido, witch was "you have truly earned the title of Slayers" so wait slayers was a title monsters gave to certain people? when was this explained (could have been the manga, haven read any of them yet)

They still show 'Scrubs' & 'Friends' on E4, so i always watch them at dinner for a good chuckle.

I also watch weekly comedy panel shows like 'Mock the Week', '8 out of 10 Cats', etc.

Sometimes, if i'm in the mood, i'll watch things like 'bargain hunt' and 'Dickinson's Real Deal', because some of the items are really intriguing, and the history behind them interests me.
