So I had a realization today at the doctor's office. The nurse asked me to make a follow up appointment, and looking over my schedule, i have a doctor's appointment every day from now until april 15th.

How ****ed up is that?

i knew i had a lot of appointments coming up, but the realization that i couldn't book a follow up until april 15th really hit the point home. it was just....damn.

and the appointment i had today didn't even DO anything. i jsut had ENT specialist number 3 look at my ears and try to figure out why I want my ears off most days (i have hyperacusis). i spent an hour waiting for his sorry ass to look at my ears for five minutes so he could say "well i can't do anything until you perfom blah blah blah test."

so WHY THE **** DID YOU MAKE ME COME IN TODAY, JACKASS?!?!

i was so pissed off my mother bribed me with carvel ice cream, something I only get for my birthday usually. this made me happy until i remembered my diet... oh well, can't win em all :)

thanks you two. I will be fine, just a little out of it for a bit. I have a check up tomorrow with a local doc, but things feel as they should at this point. i'm getting ever closer to the big stuff, the major organ swapping surgeries that i'm kind of afraid of, but for now the task of just repairing the damage done so far is going over better than hoped. I was scheduled for three days on the operating table, but my results are improving so much that I only needed two days and they sent me home early. major good news, you know?

if all goes well, i should have major procedure one in June, and major procedure two done in August. after those two, I should be in the clear for the most part, with only a few minor problems to iron out.

as the saying goes, 'so far, so good.'

now, i don't know if i should be stubborn and keep looking for the armor, or just buy the weaker armor and move on in the game. i'm at a loss.

Saw some of the new FMA, hated it, they got the pacing wrong and it's brimming with spoilers; it really assumes you've seen the first series*SPOILER* I mean the Furor kills someone in the first episode, he shouldn't be anything but a kind old man for the first half*SPOILER* and I'm in agreement that that's just not the right way to go about it; the best part was the ending animation and the fight scenes weren't bad. The character design is pretty much the same but there are some animation decisions I'd call questionable. It's just not good and if anyone's surprised by this you should really rethink the way you see the world.

so here's something a little troubling. i went to see specialist number 3 today for the nearly constant pain in my head, and he said the same thing as the other two: he doesn't have a clue. they toss some pills at me as a cover all (wow, ibuprofin!) and ship me off to someone else.

this worries me. i mean, i've seen the best care in the State, and now they're having me go to a super specialist in New York. I knew i was in bad shape, but this is ridiculous. i mean, if no one knows what's wrong with me, do i have some new disease...thing? My mom teased me all the way home that Vicky-itis (a running joke in my family) might actually get in the medical books, as no one has seen whatever the hell is making me want to rip off my ears.

yes well, i used an apostrophe not as in french but to erm... emphasise... its the process of emphasising one vowel in a word over the others... erm... english doesnt really have that in its grammar. But it goes usefully well in Lithuanian, meaning that you can change the way the word sounds... in writing. pretty cool eh? and yes it is my fault for not looking up the symbol that actually stands for that (? , which means an elongated vowel sound) and writing by using the apostrophe, hence confusing you :) My true intention was to add some intonation to the phrase (to my mind japanese slang doesnt sound right if not intonated well) so basically i might have just as well written "Jaaaaaa-nai" but then again if the "a" in "Ja" was elongated that means that the "a" in "nai" has to be shortened , making it sound um... please, dont criticise my actions ever again for the sake of me, you and everyone else, since i tend to go overboard with my posts.

I've still got things to rant about. For one, old laptops. I was working on installing Windows 98SE for 2.5 days on this stupid old laptop with practically no IO ports. There was no CD, no Floppy disk, no ethernet, no wifi, no bluetooth, the USB had no driver, and the IR port just wouldn't work right. I had to swap out the hard drive into another laptop with a CD drive, and install it from there. Of course, I still had to use a direct cable connection just to get a driver for my PCMCIA network card in, and after that, it was all easy. Blah blah blah... I got $20 for it.
