I hate the heat, since the sun shines through out the day through my window, and my room temperature is from 31 to 35 degrees...and nights its only 29 degrees.. (note to americans, its celcius we be talking about)

xD oh yes, i remember that "professional dubbing" back in the VHS era... the voices i'll never forget... now dubs in theaters are qiute ok, but still they fail in translation sometimes, esp jokes and names. for an ordinary man it looks normal, but when you try to translate it back to english and get the point you see that they failed :D (all languages are like that imo)

Yeah most dubs fail, which is why I rarely watch anything that has been dubbed. Usually I go with subs. Yes, I can remember that lovely male monotonous voice. No matter how scared/happy/sad/excited the character was in the movie, the tone didn't change :D

My brother who's 17 has just finished a year as highschool exchange student. I think he was with other first-years, so I think you start about the age of 16.

here, by the age of 18, you should already be in college. otherwise, you're screwed.

right well things are a bit different in the US, you have to attend 12(13 but no one counts kindergarten) years of school as a child starting at about when you turn 5 or 6 to when you're 17 or 18, the last 4 years of this is high school; after all that you go to college but lots of people don't and it's actually never too late to get into a community college, I mean my mom's going back to college and she's in her 40's

here children start at 7, first 3 grades are elementary school. 90% of schools do not have 4th grade, so people just skip it and proceed from 3rd to 5th (it's a great mystery). Then, when you finish 9th grade, you can go to college to recieve technical education (only retards do that thou) or go further to 11th grade and then enter a university. so, the whole cycle is 10 years (rarely 11)

then I had to repeat ninth grade for flunking every subject that year... (cough). long story that. short version: I was all emo and purposedly failed everything just because I could.

so yea, i was always 2-3 years older than every kid in school, which was never fun.

Here kindergarten starts at 3. Pre-school is one year after that. It is voluntary and can be substituted with an extra kindergarted year, but I think about 95% go to pre-school.

well our plane lands in osaka and then we have a japan rail pass for 21 so we can travel around japan and don't have to pay for the expensive train,bus, ferry rides. We will visit Osaka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Nara, Kobe, Tokyo, Yokohama, around Saitama prefecture and ofcourse Fuji-san. Then we might do random trips to smaller areas and the countryside.
