all I can tell is it aired on NTV ^_^; It kinda reminded me of Kaiji (?) because the nose looks long/squared and has that splotchy red evil pattern I seem to remember from the promo art. I haven't seen it but have been trying to recommend it as something I thought someone else might enjoy, but he thinks the art style is too weird to give it a go. assuming this even aired on NTV :/

no no no, not show about a cult. the movie itself was produced by a cult, an adaptation of a book by the cult's founder. think battlefield earth...

not sure if animation done by toei, or maybe they just distributed it, but the movie opens with their logo.
