male, I really hate the main character, they didn't really leave a way for you to be even remotely noble(why would they though: It's a game where you get corrupted by black magic)

yeah....i dont think that that would turn out real good when your trying to kill an enemy that runs right up on you....and they only use their claws to attack you....so shootting them would be a waste of ammo :P

Golden Sun- The Lost Age is really good Umm so is Riviera: The Promised Land and for a good side scroller is Metal Slug Advance you can get all three of them for at least $15 at Game Stop

I too am an exploration whore... whenever i get the ship, i explore every possible nook and crany of the world for new enemy encounters, new steal/dropped items, new towns/equipment, secrets, and to admire the artwork. I actually save before i enter any town in case it IS the cripted palce to go...if i hit story when i walk in, i reset the game and continue exploring until Iknow iv'e doen everything possible before continuing the story :)


I havne't played golden sun as i don't have "lost age" and everyone says you need both before playing it, so i've held off. i've beatend theo rignal shinignfrce and FFVI many tiems each, so playing them would just be playing the new format ( i hate how they butchered shining forces graphics! how dare they make an awesome 2d game into a ****ty 3-d game!)

and i am going out with my mom today, so i will stop by gamestop and see what i can find. my wish list right now is:

Lunar Legend (GBA)

Disgaea, Breath of Fire 2, and Lunar Legend are all remakes of classic games i've played before. if you haven't played Lunar: Silver star story or the remake Lunar Legend, you're really doing yourself a disservice; it's oen of the greatest RPG's ever. i bought an entire system just to play the original Lunar. It's that good. And disgaea does for strategy games what Lunar does for RPG's; they are both well written, funny as hell, and incredibling addicting.


Final Fantasy 2 and 3 are the last of the early FF games i have not played. Tactics Ogre is a spin off of the original tactics ogre, an awesome game from years gone past.

Izuna is on the tier of Lunar and Disgaea in terms of humor; it's a dungeon crawler, a mix of RPG and action if you ask me. if you can't tell, having a great story that makes me laugh is important in my game recomendations :)

And Shaman King...um....i like Shaman king? it's not that great of a game... but it's shaman king!! :)

replaying the Metal Gear Solid Series Why did Konami have to put 4 only on PS3? I know it pushed the PS3 to its limits in power and all but couldn't they make a less beautiful visualizations version for the 360? come on they betrayed Nintendo the ones that gave the orangal metal gear it's start and wen't to Sony so it's not too much to ask for them to jump to Microsoft I just don't have 500 for a PS3 I'd rather put it to my car stereo and subs 3 in a box really needs a better than a 1000wat Amp I can make the ground shake and animals will run for there lives but I want to do more!!!

We've lost many a' companions to WOW. Thus, this is why I will never touch the game (well, also because I'd be susceptible to it if I was to convince myself I was actually interested).

This is what my brother felt when he bought Far Cry 2, and supsequently realized that his graphics card (an x850) wasn't quite good enough to even load the game. :/

Well currently I am on Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals on the DS.... it's amazing, other then that I have been at Chocobo Dungeon 2 for ps1 and just getting everything I can super upgraded. and I have also been playing Diablo 2 at work on all nighters. Soulcalibur II, on the other hand, is exactly what I was expecting. it is a good series, i jsut didnt' expect it to be as awesoem as it is. the story is really engrossing. you start of as generic RPG hero, and set up a standard conflict agaisnt a race of demons. solid, but known. but then the point of view changes and you are controlling the demons, seeign the story from their side, and it's quite fun. the story shifts between the two, and how each side is affeted by the war between their people. i like it, at least.

"Bad" guys:

Darc, aka the bad guy leader: we need to get the water stone inside the temple.
Volk, the bodyguard: let's bust in, kill everyone, and grab it.

so they do. 3 battles latter, they win.


good guys:

Kharg, aka good leader: We need to get the fire stone from the city.
Cit'ys NPC leader: Well, before we give you the stone, you need to take out the enemy forces threatening us at Mt. Quina.
Kharg: Ok, simple eno--
NPC: It would be simple, if not that you need to capture the enemy's main city at the base of the mountain if you want to have a chance of gettign there.
Kharg: ... fine, we can do that...
NPC: And oh yes, you need to take out city's factory first to take it.
Kharg: alright already!
NPC: and don't forget, if you dont' take out the city's two garrisons at the other side of the mountain, they will get reinforcements. You'll have to wipe thme out too.
Kharg: ...of course we will. anythign else you'd like our four man party to do that your entire army can't?
NPC: Well, you'll likely have to clear out the military checkpoint, clear the highway of thieves, and chase soem bandits in the woods to secure the area. oh, and help some secure our merchants so we can get supplies, and rescue my sorry ass whenever i try to do something.

And btw how can you buy games for $30-50? We've got jewel boxes in shops here and it's about $10-15 and i think that's TOO much for a piece of plastic especially nowdays when you can just torrent everything. ('course i don't mean console games but it's really expensive) And most of games aren't worth it.

I'm playing my arc the lad still, and it's barrels of fun. But now, to unlcok the super secret awesoem charactrs, i need to beat a 30 round tournament of insane hardness. the FAQ on the game recommends going beign at level 36 to win the arena, but also ntoes you should only be around level 18 by this point. i'm over trained - level 22 - and i'm still no where ready for this. i lose on the first freaking round! I'm going to have to train nearly all day tomorrow for this.

kinda saddened by the ending...

the whole sacrificing myself for the good of the world just feels slightly off...

nope never did any multiplayer, x-box live can go burn for not providing decent support for a common input devise.

oh, you mean that damn x-box live thing that came with the game and basically requires an x-box controller to navigate the menus even though i have a damn mouse...

nope never did any multiplayer, x-box live can go burn for not providing decent support for a common input devise.

it "works" but the interface menu they included with fallout 3 is designed for an x-box controller and not a mouse, t has be pressing buttons that i don't have and its horribly slow to respond to mouse clicks.

EDIT: the normal game is fine, quite fun actually, its just not a game i'd play multiplayer, that'd be like going through oblivion in multiplayer, it makes you the main character feel a little less important...

its kinda hard to find your way....they say go to this building....and you have to find a route there.....thats the hard part for me....

so you dont have to follow a specific path you can make your own like assassin creed

not really...its really linear...but there is SOME choices to how you go...sometimes...and 9/10 times...you hitting the ground (meaning the street :P)...means that you just failed at a jump and now you die :P

youd just have to play it....and one way or another...id recommend that you play it....its an interesting experience one way or another....
