Really poor analysis of the game, but a good one of the 360. If you can get past the fact that the devs weren't very good at game mechanics the story will suck you in and you will have a lot of fun with the game

Ranked game: my first mistake was not queue dodging when he wasted first pick on Master Yi, that was the first warning bell but it went ignored, still I shouldn't have ignored the second, taking wuju style first instead of Alpha strike or the third giving first blood to Akali 4 minutes into the game. At first it didn't seem so bad, we had destroyed 3 of their towers and Annie as getting kills left and right but the incredible feeder that was Yi could not be overcome and I couldn't even tank the other team with a 1/14 Yi running around dangerously underleveled and still running into fights, being able to get away then running in again just to die.

As for me, I just beat Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia. Was pretty good, IMO. I chose the "stay with Aurica" route and got a "incomplete" ending, so I may play the game further to see the "complete" ending.

I'm liking it. I don't get into all that many videos games here recently, but I'm pouring over 10 hours a day into it with a friend on the weekends. I'm hoping to enjoy the story more once it's finished and includes all the voices/cutscenes/etc. But as for the gameplay, its done very well. I have some gripes about the game, but wont judge to harshly until it's finished and released. Either way, I've played it enough to know I'll be pre-ordering it soon.

Getting the flame wand/rod from the fire dungeon in 3D Dot Game Heroes is a pain in the ass >_>. I forgot to get it when I went through the first time, so now I have to go back and get it. Best part? Due to the way the dungeon is set up, I can't just teleport to the boss room and go from there. Nope. Have to go through the WHOLE DAMN THING again. Even better, every time you die you get to start over from the beginning of the dungeon Dx. I'm tempted to put the game aside for awhile and just move on :|

Been playing Rainbow Six Vegas a lot since it became a freebie on xbox live.
Other than that I've been playing Armored Core V a bunch.
I'm still waiting for my brother to set the Playstation 3 back up in our game room after playing GTA V so I can resume some titles on the PS3, mainly Metal Gear Solid 4 and maybe some NieR and a chance to finally start playing DOA 5 Core Fighters.
Other than this Armored Core: Verdict Day is gonna be released this friday so I'm anticipating that.

Tanis if you like civ 5 and other for the game, you would probably enjoy Europa.Universalis 4. It doesn't have quite the same character, but it's still pretty neat grand strategy game.

Finally platinumed Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 last night. It was still an enjoyable game, but far less so than the first. ESPECIALLY with it's over-preachy story. Seriously, I felt like I was sitting in a church listening to a religious bigot scream "REPENT OR BE DAMNED!!!!" the whole time. Yes, I get it, piracy is bad. STFU and let me play my goddamned RPG (that I legally paid for, btw) >_<

Ultra Street Fighter IV - I'm getting pretty proud of my ability to mash my way to victory, even against opponents on higher skill levels with better tactics.

Genghis Khan II - It's pretty good, but I'm terrible. I haven't won a single battle yet.

Finished playing Nobunaga's Ambition II the other day and it was way too easy. I just charged to smash through every samurai that dared to stand in my way and they always died a horrific death. No exceptions.

Full Metal Daemon Muramasa.
It's really good so far, though not without its faults. Firstly, when you have powerarmor samurai that fly with jet propulsion, please just let them fight like crazy flying animu samurai. I do not care for the never ending flood of exposition pertaining to the manner in which they hold their swords nor do I find it enjoying that the fight is essentially jousting with a long-winded exposition.
Secondly, the soundtrack is really good and soothing with its generic wood-wind samurai sound, but it sucks with combat heavy scenes. These fights are accompanied by a minimalistic composition of a shamisen strum and some slow wood-wind instruments. **** gets boring, yo.
Finally, while there are a lot of character portraits, there aren't too many sprites for the characters. Essentially, you've got the sprite of them standing there, but they constantly only have a neutral demeanor, while their portrait has them experiencing a whirlpool of emotions. When you've got a guy wrathfully questioning the tyrannical rule and how they caused his wife and child to die, yet his appearance is that of a guy looking at some snacks in a vending machine, you'll easily be taken out of the moment.

Wolfenstein: The New Order - Man I love this, just so awesome for me, and I found a bed you can sleep in that takes you to classic wolfenstein mode. Which is pretty damn hard, as the soldiers can kill you in seconds compared to the soldiers in the normal gameplay

Been playing as much Dungeon Defenders on PC as I can, when I'm not working, and since I got it for 360 with gold I've been playing it there as well.
Picked up Darksiders 2 a while ago, did a bit of tweaking and it looks amazing now, so will be playing that.
And I'm ****ing loving Blood Dragon, every time I play it, I laugh my ass off, and it's quite fun, though I never played FC3.

I beat MK8 like 9 times already, but it's still fun to play, and I'm looking forward to my brother coming back from Nam so we can do some competitive vs.
Beat Pikmin 3, with 60% on my first playthrough, gonna go 100% on fruit, and then start over and see how short I can get 100%, but it's not an immediate thing for me.
As far as the rest of my WiiU games go, I still have to finish playing through DK Tropic Freeze and Wind Waker HD.

Still trying to finish A Link to the Past, I have rescued 3 of the sages so far, but I am really pacing myself with it, since it's my childhood romance.


At this point, I'm really conflicted with Wind Waker, I'm about 20% into the game on GC, but now I own the HD version, should I switch over?

Looks, and sounds, a LOT better than the original PC port or the original PS1 version.


There's the option to only replace the MIDI with the PS1 music, or you can replace the songs with various stuff from The Black Mages and other 'official', better sounding, remakes.

The peep(s) behind it went though a LOT of trouble to replace all the loops all proper like.

Even got the GCI stuff replace with BETTER looking versions.

Plus two graphical upgrades.
One that smooths out/fixes the majority of character and static world models.
Plus another that fixes stuff like the text, Triple Triad, and the pictures for most of the stuff.

Disgaea Infinite I'm more or less just finishing up all the routes, so I'm basically done with that game.

Demon Gaze I had to start over. I uh....accidentally deleted the save data :B. On the bright side: I know what the **** I'm doing now! That, and it's still hella fun. except for the part I'm at now. **** Astarte >_<

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is another hella fun game. II was still better, although I'm noticing less of the camera's "helping" this time around. (because I TOTALLY want the camera angle to change unannounced mid-jump >_>) Story's pretty good, IMO.....as long as you ignore all the "out of animus" BS. Seriously, even other fans hate the animus storyline. It's just....stupid. And probably tacked on for no reason other than to provide a "legit" excuse for all the historical stuff to connect to each other (because the "descendants" thing by itself totally isn't enough. totally.). Still not the best story in gaming, but it's not Call of Duty tier, either. ("HOLY ****ING **** WE'RE BEING AMBUSHED!!! THIS HAS NEVER ACTUALLY HAPPENED DURING WAR BEFORE!!!!")

Soul Hackers (not gonna do the full title this time....you should know which game I'm talking about without it) is pretty damn fun. One thing that annoys me though is I'm decently far into the story, and that Paradigm X thing that's supposed to be super-important hasn't actually played a role in the story at all since it's short stint in the beginning. Hacking hasn't really come into play a whole lot, either.

I finally got around to installing dark souls 1 on steam, only to realize it was a "recommended to play with xbox controller" game, and I never use gamepads and the interface is not optimized in the slightest for pc, so I deleted it pretty much immediately, especially after I couldn't even open a menu when the game started. Might eventually try Dark Souls 2 if it goes on sale, as it seems to have a better interface for PC (or at least, doesn't say "recommended with controller" in the store page...)

Got back into Record of Agarest war the other day, and **** I forgot just how long the damn thing was. 15 hours in and not even halfway through the second of 5 generations, and thats with breezing though all the battles and following the true end route.

Not even through the main quest of Fallout 3 goty and already hit the level 30 cap. I saw that I can mod it higher, but what's the point? I'm so OP that all of the challenge is gone. Sigh.

yeah, I don't like when the game is too hard, but when your character becomes OP early in the game without you even trying.....that's every bit as boring. At least with the "too hard" thing you get that sense of accomplishment once you finally beat it.

For the last half-year or so, I've been playing the **** out of America's Army: Proving Grounds. Nowhere near as tactical and interesting as regular America's Army, but way more dynamic and addictive, just like all good cookie-cutter CoD and CS similar games. But hey, it's free! A decent amount of players on at night too, which is important for us night-shifters. This game has entirely replaced CS:GO for me for online fast-paced shooters.

Lair (PS3):
When it first came out it was panned due to, largely, the horrid motion controls.

The patch that has it play like a normal game makes the experience a hell of a lot better.

Really enjoyed Dark Souls, but there's a section where you go through a portal and reach a DLC area, where the monsters are tough, but I never finished that part, it was too much of a pain and after completing the main game I didn't feel like going back and finishing it
