Lol I want guitar hero. For the most part I play whatever comes across. DDR, I cannot wait for super mario, anything that looks fun. Recently the Bleach game was that it was better than mediocre for sure but not much. I cannot wait for SSMB but yaknow... a couple years later I might play it.

I spend most of my time playing Team Fortress 2 (which is equal parts epic and amazing).

However, I did recently dig up my C&C The First Decade disk and have been playing a lot of Red Alert (which was probably the first game I ever really got in to).

I do play Guild Wars sporadically, mostly as a boredom kill. I played WoW for 15 months, so I&#39;m really timid about getting back into any kind of MMO at all, even if GW isn&#39;t a true MMO (but that could be argued).

I&#39;m also playing through FF7 again, mostly because I don&#39;t rememeber a Goddamned thing from it, other than the painfully obvious death of a certain someone.

I really really want to play Mass Effect hella bad, and I&#39;m stoked for this title coming out called Borderlands, which is supposed to be equal parts ES4: Oblivion and Diablo and epic. I also really want to get my hands on this title called Overlord, which is like Pikmin, but with a demonic twist. Kane and Lynch looks like it&#39;s gonna be a blast as well.

EDIT: I played the **** out of Portal for about a week after it hit. I really wish that game was longer.

Overlord is lots of fun, I got it for the 360. It can be really annoying when you die and your horde gets wiped out, because it takes forever to get a new one reequipped as well as they were.

Lulz, you&#39;re welcome! I only have my wii, 360 and ps2 with me so far. SNES, NES, Genesis, 64, Dreamcast and original ps1 are back at my house. Incidently, I have one of the Love Hina DC games. I just wish I could speak Japanese. :/

i am so happy to be talking love hina FINALLY, but honestly, i think he should have picked mutsumi.. he loves naru and they probably have a great relationship, but where does that put mustumi, she is the most tragic character in it because she does all the right things, pours her heart, does what she thinks is right, and keitaro doesnt ever really achknolwedge her feelings and consider her a viable option (minus of thinking she is "the girl from his past")... but i nerd out whenever possible. haha. when i met akamatsu-sama i asked him 10 gazillion questions about love hina, to which he replied with several laughs and a HUGE bow.

I know what you mean. The whole Mutsumi/Ketaro/Naru love triangle gave me a headache, I got so emotionally involved.
Then again, I was also really rooting for Motoko at one point. When you really think about it, Ketaro picking Naru really was a hard decision as opposed to being the obvious end result that comes from most romantic serials. That&#39;s probably part of what makes the series so great.
On the subject of games (so stoked that there&#39;s finally a thread) I&#39;ve been emersed in Ocarina of Time on my Wii. I never got past the Dorongo caves the first time I played it, and now I&#39;m already to the point where Link&#39;s grown up. I can&#39;t wait to play more.
Also eager to continue "Sin and Punishment". I&#39;ve also gotta finish Twilight Princess: my first run-through was brought to a halt by some weird bug in the cave where the old cannon is (the guy I have to get rid of before I warp isn&#39;t there!) I also need to look into getting another DS game; I haven&#39;t played in a while and it&#39;s really time I did. I&#39;m thinking Pokemon&#39;s my safest bet, but the new Zelda looks good too, and there are alot of other games for it coming out that seem interesting.
Also, Matt, how is Guitar Hero for the Wii? I have 1 and 2 on PS2, but they won&#39;t work on my wide-screen tv (the sound never syncs up properly). Maybe 3 on Wii would work better.
Man, I&#39;ve been needing to talk about games for a long time. Feels good to get it out.

Reminds me of Ninety-Nine Nights (which, imo, was horrible). My favorite HnS, by far, was D&D Heroes for the Xbox. I never had a PS2, so I never played Baldur&#39;s Gate too much, but Heroes was soooooooo fun, especially with 3 buddies with you. I always insisted on being the Warrior, mostly because he was a Dwarf.

Favorite race? Personally, I&#39;m fond of the Chaos and the Orks, given that I tend to use infantry almost exclusively.

Personally, I like Space Marines, cause their so damn versitile.. plus their better shots then their chaos counterparts... and If you know how to use them ( like I do) you don&#39;t look like a noob spamming a half dozen squads all armed with heavy bolters, or pure plasma guns....

They, in my opinion are the best troops for squad vrs squad combat, and example is putting 2 flamers(morale crackers) 1-2 plasma guns or 1-2 heavy bolters, and a ML, and you have got a pretty much anti everything squad.

other then them I like the orkeys and sometimes play as CSM wh I feel like using alot of cannon fodder. Eldar are dumb. Necrons are cheap, and Tau are space newbs. You got the tyrranid mod? should give it a try.

Anyway, seeing as I play Dark Crusade almost exclusively, I feel like the Space Marines got hella nerfed compared to original DoW, which is why I switched to Orks most of the time. I&#39;ll only really play Chaos when I know I&#39;ll be fighting someone who&#39;s weak vs. Infantry (Eldar, for example) because I can just have them sit cloaked in someone&#39;s base killing anything that moves. Also, I love charging in with 6 Defilers (the squad cap limit) to wreck whatever turrets, etc. are in the way.

A buddy of mine plays Tau all the time, and honestly, so long as he doesn&#39;t go offensive until absolutely necessary, he can stay alive for days. Tau are the best defensive race, imo. Entrenched Broadsides backed up by Skyray Gunships are just painful. The Necrons take too long to get the ball rolling, if you ask me, but can be kinda fun if you can get a whole mess of them to die in one spot, then resurrect them.

Anyone who uses Khorne Berzerkers against anything other than Eldar and Imperial Guardsmen is a fool. Also, the nerfs I referred to were how Dreadnoughts cost 3 Vehicle Cap rather than 2 in original DoW, and how they only get one Land Raider, and it&#39;s by far the weakest of the "holy **** that&#39;s a huge thingamajig there" units in the game (other examples being the Bloodthirster and the Baneblade). I&#39;m assuming by "unique unit" you mean the Grey Knights, which you also only get one squad of, along with the Terminator squads. As far as killing that Sorcerer goes: Grey Knights excel against Daemons, and thus beat the everloving **** out of the Chaos. The coolest animation like what you&#39;ve described that I&#39;ve ever seen was, once, I saw my buddy&#39;s Avatar of Khaine spike someone on his sword like he does a lot, only it was an Ork Warboss, if memory serves. I also once saw a Dreadnought pick up, spin, and toss a Librarian over its shoulder. That was pretty cool (except it was my Librarian :( ).

But, of course, DoW is a game of tactics first and foremost. I know people who play Eldar and can beat the hell out of a lot of other people, same with the Imp. Guard and the T&#39;au. I have yet to meet anyone who plays Necrons very well, however, but there&#39;s got to be someone out there like that.

You always only had acsess to one land raider, and yes, I remmeber it getting alot weaker now. Its a damn shame with dreads, I never seen many &#39;win&#39; animations of a dreadnaught vrs another walker, I&#39;ve seen the animation of it WTFPWNing an eldar walker, but I mostly see animations of the Dread getting owned by Eldar/chaos/orks almost entirely more often... I did see one animation vs a ork killacan, the Dread grabbed its pincer arm and proceded to fire its assault cannon through the &#39;pilot&#39; segment, and then knocked it over. Possibly one of the colest animation in the game.

To be honest, I&#39;m thinking of revisiting ES3: Morrowind and ES4: Oblivion. I&#39;ve been doing a lot of that recently (beat MGS1 and 2 again about a month ago) so I think it&#39;s time I sat down and actually played through the story-lines of, in my opinion, the two best free-roam RPG&#39;s ever.

But, for now, I&#39;ll stick to TF2. Anybody keepin&#39; track of my heads batted in? :D

Seriously, the ending of KotOR1 was probably one of (if not the) best video game ending I&#39;ve ever seen. Either I&#39;m extremely dumb for not picking up the plot twist until it was thrown in my face, or BioWare did an exceptional job keeping it from you until the time was right.

Essentially, Mass Effect must be good.

I always play the same way. I have an unbeatable gameplan. I start with Mudkip. Becuz he kiks the rock trainers ass. I know Treecko does to. But when he meets the early fire trainer hes screwed mudkip isnt. And also I know mudkip has to face the early grass trainer but cool thing is when mudkip evolves he half earth half water. So the stupid grass trainer got NOTHING ON ME! NO SUPER EFFECTIVES! Thus, proving that mudkipz is the best starter pokemon for that game.

no **** you didn&#39;t like oblivion if all you did was the main quest, the Elder scrolls games have always been known for the ADVENTURE aspect which is why they have the massive explorable world

I wonder how many TES games you&#39;ve played. :D
I know it but Oblivion is different. There&#39;s nothing to explore.
Even if the world is huge (and that&#39;s not true) it&#39;s not interesting to visit every fukin cavern which is GENERATED in the game process.
As fan of TES i completed about half of game quests too. And i found only 1-2 that was really fine. IMHO. :D (Thats still not all the reasons)

Morrowind rocks but when i saw what these guys did in Daggerfall i was amazed. This game for shure has HUGE world and some features that i never saw anywhere else. :D

daggerfall is a close second, did you play the expansions to morrowind? I thought bloodmoon was pretty cool and I did have fun with the unique twists that tribunal had

I played both of them. Tribunal is cooler i think. (Although there was a bug that helped me to kill Almalexia). Bloodmoon has some atmosphere too. But i vote for tribunal.

the infinate arrow glitch isn&#39;t cheating, on the quest where that one girl gets obsessed with dwemer artifacts and you have to fight her you can continuesly loot her body for 500 arrows each time

ok so the arrows are a bug but they&#39;re so kick ass I had to use them, as far as corprus that was planned and those stats go down forever when you get a disease or drain spell after it&#39;s cured

well, if you just started then a vampire may be a tough fight, you have to bite other people which could get you in trouble early on when it&#39;s avoidable later and if you don&#39;t bite people, you&#39;ll be hated, people won&#39;t talk to you and you&#39;ll sometimes be attacked; you should at least wait till you finish the thieves guild (the reward is something that will really help if you want to attack people)

i've been enjoying spore, its nice and simple, and i get to make freaks of nature and watch them wander around and kill things until i make something bigger and eat them.

either way, spore gets alot better when you get into space.


also, i've re-installed Hellgate: London, i was in the mood to shoot things and wander around a destroyed London, sort of getting preped to wander destroyed cities agian seeing as Fallout 3 comes out the 28th which is soon and shortly after my +1 to age.

haha nes have only 4 buttons for movement + 2 buttons for jump/attack + start + select. What's the problem? Compare it with pro WCIII playing :D. And you can save if you're using emulator =)

the only games i play on snes are FF and stuff like that (chrno trigger etc.) They use 4+ buttons for actions but it's still ok

i'm gonna guess 4th ed.

I've been running campaigns with it for over 2 years now. It's a gloriously flexible system. I'm saying this considering, the current campaign is effectively a modified "deadwood" setup ("wild west with magic and what-not") and my previous campaign was an instellar romp that resulted in a more then a few planets accidentally nuked back to the stone age (my play group has desisiveness issues...)

Besides that...

I've been pulled back into WoW by the new acheivement system, spent most of yesterday trick or treating in game due to the in-game holiday starting the 18th...

and yes i'm well aware it will probably pale in comparision to the previous ones, that seems to be the case with most new games, but i just like the idea of wandering a post-nuclear-apoclypse DC, just like i enjoyed wandered post-demonic-apoclypse london...

It's a flavor thing, I enjoy backgrounds, the worlds, the scenic views...

heck I only played through Oblivions storyline once, and it was to prove it could be done with a lvl 1 character (tried lvl 1, but had to hit 2 to get an item, had to lvl to 5 to finish it cause enemies stopped being scaled).

i think i gravitate towards the post-apocalyptic stuff because its already damaged as hell, who's gonna noticed a few more scorch marks.

Then agian, i also rebound between incredibly heroic and needlessly destructive, spending extra time in the needlessly destructive state because its amusing and its hard to crawl back up that slope after zooming down it with a few blood-baths.

all you would need to do is type one name per account into your friends list...if you get the game :)

As for which one to get, you have four games: prophesis(the original, also just called guild wars) Faction, Nightfall, and Eye of the North ( usually called GWEN).

To me, it's a tough call between the original and nightfall. I'd start with the original, or Guid Wars: Prophesies. It's the longest game ( more bang for your buck) and is the most diverse campaign for settings, plots, and what not. It has two drawbacks: you only get the six starting classes ( the nightfall and faction campaings give you the six basics, plus two campaign exclusive classes per expansion) and you don't get any heroes. In the game, if you cant' find a live person to travel with you, you can use AI "henchemen" to help you, or "heroes" if you have nightfall; heroes are far better (smarter, you can control what they do easier, etc) but you only get them with nightfall and GWEN.

Nightfall is a good choice too, though. You get all six of the basic classes, two exclusive classes, and get heroes. it's also the most recent, so it's more active with live people. this makes the beginning of the game easier, but the difficulty level curves HIGHLY towards the end of this campaign; the end game missions for nightfall are among the hardest in the series. It makes for a great starting game, but if it's your only game, you could get frustrated at the end when you die over and over again. The other downside of sorts is that the game takes place exclusively in the region of Elonia, a kind of desert/egypt/middle east theme place. it tells a more complete story, and it makes far more sense then the plot twists in Prophesies (which can lead you with a WTF look sometimes) but if you want junles, snowy mountains, and other settings, you need prophesis.

Factions, the third complete game, is the worst of the three. Don't get it unless you have the others and want to be "Complete."

GWEN is a "pure" expansion. It expands on the story of prophesis, and adds heroes to any campaign. it is NOT a stand alone game, so only buy this if you have another game already. By FAR, the hardest areas are found here, as it's designed for players who have beaten at least one campaign.

i've heard good things bout warhammer, but after all the time and money in WoW i'd rather not start paying to split my time between the two, it's taken me over a year to get near the lvl cap and its about to raise with the expansion.

Just started playing Far Cry 2 today, love it!! Roaming around in africa shooting people with bad guns and slicing them with machetes is so much fun! Not to mention the constant battle against malaria. Pop a few pills and your back on your feet ^^
