as great as the mushishi anime was I can't help but point out how far from the manga it is, I know they pretty much used it as a script bu there's something about it, atmosphere maybe, that they just didn't capture in the anime, and yet the anime is still great. It's kind of amazing

I rarely get to read manga -_-;; but i like the laid back music that was in the mushi-shi soundtrack and the story was so different from other animes out. I wish they had brought it back for a second season.

Last anime I watched was 'Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals'.

It was pretty good, a lot better than 'FF: Unlimited'...which was a load of crap or 'Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children' which was boring.

Though, for me, it's a little below FF: The Spirits Within, which while not lot a good 'FF' movie, was a great sci-fi flick.

Yeah, it was.
I'm not a big fan of FF7, so that may be why AC didn't do much for me.

Useful
06-14-2010, 01:40 AM
It should be noted that each of these series has it's distinct flavor. Nadesico is a real parody, though it is pretty serious. Taylor is decidedly an action comedy, much like Periscope Up! if you've ever seen it. Both are definitely space operas though, Nadesico more so.

Watching Gundam 00 2nd Season, finished first Season last night /this morning.

Only other ones I watched are Seed and Seed Destiny which one should I watch next? Wing, ZZ ?

Watch Wing, eighth MS team and I'd suggest G for the awesome factor, though it's also rather silly so keep that in mind.

was recently watching a movie i had not been able to get to watch until yesterday by the name of "Angel Egg". It really makes you think ,instead of the generic " narrator will tell you events and/or obvious plot direction", about the outcome of certain events and how perceive it through your eyes alone. If you like watching things that gets your brain gears turning then this is most likely for you but that's just my opinion.

Oh no theres a none live action for cowboy bebop I'll watch when I'm done with the rest of the series.

As for the live action, if what I heard is true and Keanu Reeves stars in it I'll give it a shot. And I pray that the cast of the mabye to be made Death Note American live action rumors are not true. Light is gay enough without Zach Effron being him. Also: I heard Will Smith would be L. That would be HILARIOUS

BladeGraffiti

well both that and cowboy bebop, it's really hard to portray anime in a live action film and have actual people try and do what you want as opposed to drawing the characters and doing exactly what you desire. I couldn't stomach the Blood + movie...

basically you like "slice of life" anime

animemental1
09-19-2010, 02:42 PM
Slice of Life's okay. It sometimes gets boring, but it's good nonetheless.

Mecha anime get boring after a couple of episodes. The only exceptions are Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Neon Genesis Evangelion, & Code Geass.

animemental1
09-19-2010, 03:01 PM

09-19-2010, 11:43 PM

jinzo64
09-19-2010, 11:52 PM
i didn't see much of beastwars

Leef
09-20-2010, 12:15 AM

jinzo64
09-20-2010, 12:28 AM

Leef
09-20-2010, 12:31 AM
I dont think so. I think the origional show had a group of transformers called dinobots.

You guys should see Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. It's like FLCL mixed with MapleStory or World Of Warcraft.

jinzo64
09-20-2010, 12:41 AM
i havn't FLCL is it worth watching?

animemental1
09-20-2010, 12:45 AM
It's like 6 episodes in length. It's made by the same guys who made Evangelion. But it's the exact opposite of Evangelion. FLCL has a very confusing plot & that's why people like it.

jinzo64
09-20-2010, 12:48 AM
that doesn't sound like the opposite to evangelion then again i've ever seen the movies.
maybe thats why found the plot confusing

i guess i've only realy seen main stream anime and a couple of odd ones like a little snow fairy sugar and risky and safty.

animemental1
09-20-2010, 01:54 AM
I don't really watch non-mainstream anime unless they're really good. (I've only seen 2 or 3.)

Fishfreeek
09-20-2010, 09:09 AM
well i just watched alien nine, it has to be the anime that made me say wtf the most....
It was like watching ants crawl in and out of an ant hill.
it's interesting, but you don't know where they're going, what they're doing inside the hill, or why they're doing any of it.
Oh, and some one else keeps torching the ants with a magnifying glass, but you have no idea why and feel bad about it.

very slim.

*sigh* you may be right. Shame too, I even have a few choice ideas on what voice actors could play some of the characters. And it's not like the humor isn't up the US's alley.

@darkmessenger: Could you get back to me on how that show is? I read a few chapters of the manga, but I was in one of my spastic moods and dropped it almost immediately cuz it was boring me.

I'll let everyone know how it was when I finish it...unless it bores me too. Then I'll post how bored I was with it :P

Well I just finished Elfen Lied about a month ago and Full Metal Panic about a two weeks ago and Azumanga Daioh two days ago so I don't know what's next, either K-On! or Lucky*Star but can't decide which to watch first. Spose I should do some study for exams and get those out of the way first though :( Yeah, that'll last two minutes.

animemental1
11-10-2010, 01:45 PM
If you like music, go with K-On. If you liked Azumanga, go with Lucky Star. I prefer K-On, though.

Currently watching Clannad & Code Geass. After that, FMP & Evangelion. Paused on Welcome to the NHK and will try to finish it before Christmas.

I love them both. In fact, I finally took the time to watch the last three episodes of k-on yesterday. Almost made me cry... T_T

But anyway, maybe I'll finally take the time to finish trigun. >.>
