I just need to know some more good animes, as I'm sure many are constantly searching for, so I'll pose the questions, what anime are you watching, what anime did you watch before, and what do you plan on watching later? Also, evaluate them a little if you like.
For me it would be:
Now: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. Royally F'd up yet extremely engaging.
Before: Claymore. Some really good stuff 5/5
Later: Monster. Heard it was good, more murder mystery that I like.

but the torrent is slow, and its huge (28GB or so)
i got in 3 weeks 26% of it, but i have stamina,

I typically give anime only a certain amount of episodes anyway. I like short series. Get in, get out, get on with your life. That's why Bleach is still kind of left open, because it hasn't really reached its limit. A friend of mine has a hard limit of 100 episodes. After that, he calls it quits unless it is really that good (For the record, so far only 3 series have taken that honor, and Naruto is not one of them).

Ironically I'm also watching Chobits right now, but given that I only really watch what a couple of my other friends dig up, I didn't have to deal with any "hype" that you're referring to.

Before that I watched Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu! and The Second Raid; before that I think I watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (which I extremely enjoyed).

Next, I'm torn between Death Note, Lucky Star, and Code Ceass, though I've been tinkering with the idea of going back and watching Martian Successor Nadesico again (one of my favs) or watching Cowboy Bebop because I only saw bits and pieces of it on CN.

Down the road, I'm waiting for the second seasons of Haruhi Suzumiya and Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan to come out, as those are very good series, imo.

Same here. I had also been told of some inside jokes that went passed many people, such as the discussion between Nagato and the main charater (who's name escapes me at the moment) being a parody of Eva, if I am not mistaken. I'll try and get the details, or clear up any mistakes later, but, not having seen Eva, I only have this friend's word to go by.

There is a rather long narration between Nagato and Kyon regarding their involvement with Haruhi, but I'm not exactly how this correlates to NGE. However, Nagato is more or less an Ayanami v2.0, depending on how you look at it.

I do know one person who completely missed the FMP! references that Koizumi made while he was throwing fireballs. How that person is still in one piece after I heard that, I don't really know.

Eh, I just like the way "Naru-tard" sounds for some reason. My problem isn't so much with Naruto fans as it is with fanatics in general. Taking anything too far is one of the few ways to make me truly agitated. And hell, I was a Pokemon kid like most people back in the day; I still don't think I've ever sold my card collection.

Also, from what I've heard, a lot of the really popular anime in America isn't really all that popular back in Japan. I could be wrong, though (that happens a lot).

Hey now, to each their own. If it wasn't for the super-popular shows like Pokemon and Naruto, it'd be a hard sell to bring out the weirder stuff to America.


Eh, I just like the way "Naru-tard" sounds for some reason. My problem isn't so much with Naruto fans as it is with fanatics in general. Taking anything too far is one of the few ways to make me truly agitated. And hell, I was a Pokemon kid like most people back in the day; I still don't think I've ever sold my card collection.

Also, from what I've heard, a lot of the really popular anime in America isn't really all that popular back in Japan. I could be wrong, though (that happens a lot).

Well, I just finished the final episode, and while they did a great job of remaining consistency til the end, I still felt a little let down. Granted, it&#39;s a slice of life series, but it would&#39;ve been nice if they had just taken the time to explore the mirade sub-plots more deeply and at least attempt resolution. Still, it&#39;s bang for your buck.

I&#39;m currently watching 2 animes, .hack//SIGN and Giniro no Olynssis.
I&#39;m stuck at episode 18 of .hack sign because they just TALK too much, I would have wanted at least a little more action, otherwise it&#39;s good. I&#39;ll finish it soon and look forward to legend of the twilight bracelet and .hack roots .
Giniro no Olynssis is another of those mecha animes. The first thing I noticed was that the character designs look a LOT like those in Fafner, which I thought looked really awkward in some way. Otherwise good anime :). And while Im on the mecha theme I think I&#39;m gonna finish Eureka 7, after watching the first 13 episodes about a year ago :).

Just finished Baccano, which was spectacular, and Wolf&#39;s Rain, which was alright.

Also finished Gungrave, which was pretty good, Gunsword, which was annoying, and Shingetsutan Tsukihime, which had potential but was ultimately too short to be good enough.

And I&#39;m currently following Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei. Both of which are phenominal, except for some reason no one&#39;s releasing the last few episodes of Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, which makes me angry.

I&#39;m finally finishing Chobits (after doing a slew of other things, including watching all of Outlaw Star again with a friend who just got into anime) and should be done by the end of the night. After Chobits I think I&#39;m gonna either watch Haruhi Suzumiya again (only this time in English, because I&#39;m a loser), Escaflowne, or Death Note. I keep meaning to go and watch Escaflowne and Cowboy Bebop, but I can only remember that while I&#39;m watching a series. When I finish one, I go, "What should I watch next?" and then not watch either of those.

I should invest in sticky notes.

I am watching Pani Poni Dash and Excel saga, I like them both.

My only complaint with Pani Poni is the extreme number of references to other anime/movies/anything, because when I&#39;m watching the anime, I will often have to go back multiple times in order to read the paragraph of text explaining the reference... it&#39;s still awesome though.

The new captain is pretty funny and cool, and the 3th seat guy with the glasses has some nice weapon :) But the Naruto fillers just took to much time, some of them were funny but, most of them didn&#39;t make sence.



Fillers = **** and nothing more. (IMO)
They made me drop naruto/one piece/bleach and now I just read the manga.

I&#39;ve watched a few shippuuden eps, but the fights were so daaaamn dragged out by too much talking and characters just standing and staring at each other. I&#39;ll just stick to the manga.

I know, everyone has an other opinion about it. But state your opinion as an opinion, not like a fact. :P And I agree, I like the manga to, although I don&#39;t read it as much. I don&#39;t read manga much in general, I like watching anime better :D

My girlfriend bought me like 4 Boxes of Maison Ikkoku for christmas. There is a LOT of filler in that one HO BOY, although its a sweet/fun show.. there are only so many scenes of Misunderstanding each other and Drinking untill 3 Am and love triangles you can take D: ahh.

On topic though: I just finished watching Neon Genisis Evangelion + the films.. (dont shoot me i have been meaning to watch it forever and just put it off.)

I disagree on that part. I don&#39;t mind watching a anime which has 200+ episodes. As long as it has a nice story and everything. Its sometimes better than a anime with like 26 episodes which is over to soon... I like Naruto (200+), Bleach (Probably will be 200+) and an older one, Dragonball, Z and GT (lol about 500 eps)

But like I said it depends; story, characters, humor, action, and whatever attracts you to a certain anime :)

:D Well, I don&#39;t know why, but a lot of people seem to dislike GT, while I like it. The story is shorter, way shorter. But you should just give it a try, I can&#39;t decide for you. I always liked the Dragonball series so.. :)

GT was good i injoyed it but there was to much happening in a short amount of time. and it was also so different from the original series that some fans disowned GT.

So i liked it and i deffinetly think you should give it a go i mean if u dont like it just stop watching but u will get to see new levels of power, golden monkeys, dragons and a tuffel wanting revenge

Its my old school fav to hehe :D But I also enjoyed GT, although it was different than Z. But its not fun to have the same happening all the time.

I didn&#39;t mind that a lot happened in a short time. I just hated the ending; "Goku, Untill we meet again". Like my all favorite anime ended with that quote.... I was like; O yeah, that would be nice, if another serie came, but no, it never happened. My heart was broken and could never be restored.

... Until I downloaded all series and watched them all over again. It restored my childhood memories.. ;D And I still love it .. I guess at some day I will watch it again.. probably :)

I just finished watching Shigurui. It is disturbingly realistic in its brutality to the point of being repulsive, but on the other hand there?s a sick, twisted beauty to all the voilence. A great anime about the darker side of the samurai. Oh, if you thought Higurashi was too graphic don&#39;t even come close to this one.
