I already pointed this out in the ALPHABET GAME 2!!! :

Avatar = anime.. for the Japanese. We just use the word anime in a different way. We mostly use anime to refer to Japanese animation, like I said in the quote above. But the word anime just refers to all animation. So technically Avatar is a anime

Since most of us only use the word anime to refer to Japanese animation only, people are most likely to say that avatar is a cartoon. But in fact, the word anime, as I said, comes from animation, so technically anime and cartoon is the same ^^

I refered to it as a fact, how they see it in Japan, the anime land ^^ But "cartoons" like I guess avatar, as a lot see it, is not really for a young audience. The anime/cartoon debate is something that nobody will agree on, outside Japan at least. Its more a opinion factor here. But I see it as they see it.

Japanese Anime/Cartoons = Animation
Animation = Anime

It could be aimed at some younger audience, since it is being aired on Nickelodeon. But the story of Avatar isn't that "childish", at least I think so. A lot of other series on Nickelodeon are aimed at kids, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a animation. Japanese would call it animation and since they gave it the term anime, they would call it anime :P . As for us outsiders.... it is either Anime or a Cartoon, since we were stupid to make a seperate group... :)

There was a game room, a video room, a room to buy A LOT of stuff... There were a lot of activities to do like; Manga workshops, AMV composition (AMV&#39;s that people send to win prices, VERY good AMV&#39;s)

In the Game Room; PS1, PS2, PS2, Gamecube, WII, XBOX, XBOX 360 and some more.. Most games were anime games (duh) But also had games like; Tekken 5, Guitar Hero 3 and such. Like I said there was a lot of stuff to buy. I bought Ichigo&#39;s Bankai sword for example, a Naruto Konoha headband, Missing-Nin Konoha headband, Itachi&#39;s necklace.... some posters... and pretty much more.. :)

And there were A LOT of people in cosplay. It was great ;D

You could eat Japanese food; Dango, Sushi, Ramen... etc And you could also buy Pocky, which most of you would know by the name; Pochy from Onegai Sensei
