It could be construed as a problem, but I wouldn't call it problematic. Sometimes you really do seem to keep this place buzzing, Vicky (and abyss of course, good for some interesting conversation, as always), it's probably a significant factor of why I started attending regularly again. Right after I created the "Why haven't YOU been posting?" thread, no less. :D

no, not at all, if i was more diligent or at least had something important to rant on about i'd probably be doing the same thing. usuallly i just can't think of anything to type for a post. Vicky makes for a good infusion of lifeblood to these forums, it keeps us running, much like the caffiene in my system.

Does anybody ever e-mail anymore? and I don't mean fwds and spam but actual e-mails. people use faceboom or forums such as this to send msg's but the e-mail idea seems only to confirm things on other sites updates and storing files or sending them, which can sometimes lead to forwards and spam... i'm a very huggable person. even when iworked retail, i would randomly hug my customers. I got some of the wierdest looks at times, but i have some of the best feedback ever. in 6 months, i made 100$ in tips in a job you don't normally get tips in lol.

Nor I. I do like signing everyone else's though, I put thought and consideration into my yearbook signings. Last year I wrote "54^^1^111.1.^^1.11?1)31?^/01.150^^31)4^/" in my friend's sister's yearbook. My chums and I had a good laugh about that, and she was completely and utterly confused, and will continue to be for as long as she owns it. :)

Well friends, i just had a rather depresing moment. I was in good spirits today; my brother is home, and he is helping to keep me sane. I was justp osting on here, and I realzied...you know, I have a lot of posts. I decided to see hwo far up i was on the list post count wise, and i'm apparently up to the 13th spot now. I was looking over those who had more psots than me: Zorg, Issi, abyss, etc.

Then I saw Mawelli.

I hate to say it, but I had forgotten about him. I was devastated when he left, and yet as I feared i had forgotten all about him. Seeing his name on the list though... i remembered a lot. The fan club, the badge i made, the anxiety i felt when he left... it all came back.

I'm shivering now... this reveltation has me terrified. I had known I would forget him in time, but so soon? I'm afraid my memory is only getting worse with age. I can't believe i would forget so quickly. I don't WANT to believe, but it's true. It scares me so bad to think I am forgetting what's dear to me... if i forget what makes me who I am, am I still me? My doctors warned me I could die next year...could I forget myself so soon, to have this me "die" and yet live at the same time?


Two sad rants in two days.... Goddess I'm a mess. I feel like i'm falling apart. And tomorrow my sister comes to visit, and that NEVER ends well for me. It's only going to get worse before it gets better, but I don't know how much worse I can bear anymore. I'm tired of it all, putting up the strong front, faking happiness, enduring the hell that is my life, the poisin that is my body. The strain is just wearing me out.

If I don't get on here tomorrow, then i hope everyone has a happy Holiday...in america!

Well, mawelli was a friend. We talked a lot, and I trusted him. Then he lft...no warning, no explanation, not even a proper good bye. It hurt for one thing. Then ther'es my memory... forget thigns very easily, due to the blow to the head i took years ago. When Mawelli left, i knew it then...that this friend, this person i was invested in... i was going to forget him. I tried to remind myself of his existence for a while, re-reading his old posts and such... but I still forgot. Despite my efforts, I still forgot.

It scares me, as my memory is so damn fleeting. i've forgotten people in my life so many times over, with only a photo here or a diary entry there to remind me that these people even existed. I get so freaked out when I insult people or push them away, or they just leave my immediate circle of friends, as it's like they are gone forever from my mind. I hate that so much. I dont' want to be soem shallow person who forgets everythign dear to me. I dont' want to forget who I am! and i know it's going to happen... no matter what i do, i can't stop it.

when mawelli left, and even when i thoguht i had insuted you the other day, issi... i get very badp anic attacks as i'm afraid of losing another friend, of losing another part of my life, my mind, part of who I am. It's terrifying to me, as i can't trust myself or what memories i do have.

No, I actually understand. If I'm correct, you have trouble making and keeping friends. So, when you make friends, you become close to them almost immediately, hoping to solidify and forge a permanent friendship. When someone immediately terminates a friendship like Mawelli did, you suffer almost traumatically for it. Due to your frequent loss of friends, you become paranoid of losing them, which explains why you panicked yesterday when you thought you had insulted me, because, deep down, you thought that you would lose me. Your memory loss only intensifies your, for lack of a better word, traumatization, when you lose a friend, because you feel that since you've become close friends, and you wanted the friendship to be permanent, you don't want to forget them, thus continuing your friendship to them.

I'm not a psychologist, I don't plan on being a psychologist, and I know nothing about psychology, so I may be wrong. But, who knows, I may have hit the nail on the head. I tried, at least.

I do have trouble keeping friends. Making friends is the easy part, but i haven't nailed the "keeping" them part. I'm the one always getting ditched, for lack of a better term. And with my moving around so much, i've not been able to make any permanent roots, nothing to hold me to anyone or anywhere. Even the few people i had considered main stays have abandoned me... take Christina, my childhood friend fro kindergarden. As my oldest friend, I was going to be the maid of Honor for her wedding next year. Yet, last yeat, she found out i pitched hit for the other team (i.e. like women) and she cut off all contact with me. Now i'm not even invited to the wedding. My brother Michael, my lifeline for 18 years, the only reason i survived high school... he drifted away from me when he discovered dating. He moved to another state to be with his gilfriend of 4 years now, and i rarely see him anymore.

I could go on, but i'll spare you. The simplest way to put it is that I have abandonement issues. I will bend over backwards to make people happy to give no one a reason for leaving me.

This is an EVIL double post, I know ( don't look at me like that! stop judging me!) but I had to let this rant out, and i don't feel like making a new topic for it.


So yea, turkey day here in the states. If your'e read my previos posts, you know i was not too happy about this holiday, and that i was "kinda" overdosing on my anti-depressants in prep for it. I was braced for hell on earth.

And yet, the most unexpected thing happened: my brother in law's (space) step dad brought his three grandchildren from his previous marriage. (so yea, try to figure out what relation THAT would be. I dare ya.) They were aged 7,5, and 4. Noni, Tito, and little Nic-Nic. This unexpected change of plans turned out to save my sanity, and made for (dare i say it?) a GREAT day. When the kids arrived, they were all teary eyed, missing thier mom who couldnt' be here for complicated reasons with thier parents. They didn't even want to eat, they were so sad. I made it my goal to make them happy.

i started off with sweets; I made them all brownies. I brought out some do it yourself frosting and sprinkles, and those kids lit up. We made frosted brownies ( Nic-nic insisted she have frosting on EVERY side of the brownie) and they opened up to me. I spent the rest of the day with them, playing card games, throwing a bouncing ball around outside, and coloring. They were all laughing and enjoying themselves. And before they left, they all made me Happy birthday cards for my birthday next month. They say things like "Happy Birthday Vicky! You rock!" and little Nic Nic, who cant' write, made me a picture of a dog. I can't express just how over joyed I was with such a simple gesture. They all gave me hugs before they left, and Noni didn't want to leave, asking if she could live in my room! Even Tony, their grandfather, shook my hand and thanked me for cheering the kids up; Brian and others all commented on how well I handled the kids later as well.

I admit, i was crying sad tears this morning, dreading this day. And yet, I am crying happy tears now. Those little angels really melted my heart today. I was so depressed, wondering what ksills i had compared to my very talented family, and these kids reminded me of strength: working with kids.

So I am announcing this to you all first: no matter how hard the path is, once i'm well i'm going back to school to get a job working with kids. Maybe daycare, or preschool teacher. I'll figure that much out later. For now, i feel...vindicated for the first time in many, many months. I'm not worthless, or only good for sex... i do have a talent, and i'm going to put these maternal skills to use even if i can't have my own kids.

So, yea. Nothing like a life changing experiance to brighten your day, huh? :)

Well, if a person checks back for something very often, like I do for webcomics, those posted "a few weeks ago" can seem pretty ancient.

I find that interesting, time being as relative as it is...for instance, if we discovered that, due to a slight variation in gravitational pull, all matter in the universe was going to dissipate in 1000 years, that 1000 years would seem like a pretty damn short time. Inversely, if a sound wave took three seconds to travel 15 feet...well, seems a little ridiculous to me.

Why I find that interesting, I don't know. I guess it's just another way that communication is inevitably flawed.
