I personally believe that Nvidia's stuff is somewhat overpriced in general, but anyway, I've heard that the 970 has some issues, so if you have the money, you're better off getting the GTX 980 instead.

Most who I know that have a 970 love it and it's priced well for its performance, Arock has been running 970's in SLI with a 4k monitor and has no issues. Going to a 980 is a big jump but it's been eating everything that has been thrown at it. There are some of the higher AMD R9's that are priced to move but they use more power than any of the newer chips from Nvidia, while I have used most of the newer AMD and Nvidia chips I've had better luck with Nvidia on most fronts.

Excellent summation of the subject my colleague and now I shall go over why Europeans are more secular than 'Muricans:

History Lesson time:

For Hundreds of years up until the Renaissance Period and the beginning of a time we call "The Enlightenment" Europe was under a system of governance called Feudalism, much like the rest of the world who had advanced up to that point. Basically society was grouped into five basic groups: The Serfs or Peasants, The Guilds, the Nobility, The King, and The Church. If you were born a peasant you could not become a King, and if you were born a shoemaker you would die a shoemaker else the Guilds would kill you, and so on. There was no upward social mobility and land in Europe was becoming really, really scarce. Life was ****ty for everyone except the Nobles, Kings and higher tier clergy which were only 1% of the populace.
Suddenly some asshole named Marco Polo comes back from Asia and says "look at all this nice **** I found over there" and the guilds and kings are like "****, I want more of that" and thus the Kings of Europe demanded even more trade to get these wondrous things of silk, gunpowder, jade, etc. Unfortunately it takes a real long time to get to Asia and back, and so Spain decides to send some chump named Christopher Columbus West to water's unknown to see if he could find a quicker ocean route to China to get more of that good ****. CC comes back and says 'guys, I didn't find the Orient. But I DID find all this even BETTER ****: *gold, cocoa, sugar, tobacco, corn, potatoes, etc.* ' and then Spain's like: "**** we need to get more of this good ****", and gets the bright idea to start sending its conquestidores (who were promised land after kicking the Moor's out of the Iberian Pennisula, but theres barely land in Europe so Spain gets the bright idea to send them to this new land to take their land there). Eventually trade between the Orient and 'the new world' *after all the natives die to small poxx at least* brings so much wealth to Europe a new class begins to emerge from merchants and the system known as Mercantalism is born. These wealthy merchants then begin to educate their children and themselves from the great greek philosophers and rome. Then some chump named Gutenberg invents a machine that rapidly prints tons of books in a really shot amount of time meaning lots of people can now learn to read without traveling to Prague or to some wealthy Italian sea port like Venice. At first it was Bible's which cause a bit of a ruckus in Europe as one guy named Martin Luther is pissed at the Church's way of running things and writes and angry worded letter and posts it on their door. This causes a huge uproar as much of Northern Europe away from the Vatican like what this guy is saying, and thus want to start running their own churches. Then there is this king in England whose buttmad at the Church for not allowing him to divorce his wife and so he starts his own church, the Church of England. Several civil wars after him follow going through numerous kings and queens and military dictators until ending up with a lovely lady named Queen Elizabeth I. Meanwhile while all thats going on several of these people who now were educated became snobbish hipster pricks who began philosophizing all day about **** like Atheism, Freedom, Political treatise, etc. Eventually this will spread throughout Europe until a moment in History called the Enlightenment happens where a majority of today's political, atheist, ideological, scientific, etc. treatise all come from. This eventually leads to a massive cultural upheaval called the Industrial Revolution, but more on that later.

Anyways, the Church and Spain are mad that England went full Protestant under Elizabeth. So they send their entire, world conquering naval fleet to go take out England. But Elizabeth, her homedog Sir Francis Drake, her own giant fleet and a some really ****ing bad weather utterly destroy the Spanish Fleet. So England now rules the high seas and Spain and Vatican can't do ****. So then people, upset with affairs in England, flee England for new land in the Americas, mostly for economic gains like new land, tobacco farming, cotton farming, and such to ship back home to England thus people who were once peasants now become wealthy plantation owners. Eventually these colonies grow liking how lenient England has been on them and liking this whole 'freedom' thing. Unfortunately England and France are going at it for the bagillionzinth time which is taking place in the Colonies all over the world (and in the America's) in something called the Seven Year's War. Both France and England end up bankrupt by this affair. So England needs cash fast and so decides to do a small insignifigant tax on the colonists, and houses their soldiers in colonist houses to protect against the French. The wealthy plantation owners who became students of the hipster snobs from the Enlightenment, got pissed and threw a hissy fit because 'muh freedoms', England not wanting to get even MORE broke over yet another war decided to say '**** it, have your own country, we don't care' and thus the greatest nation on Earth was born: America, **** Yeah.

Anyways, this radical freedom to do whatever the **** you want would lay some groundwork for what was to come. For you see unlike in Europe, American's didn't have a culture of mass feudalistic systems over their heads for hundreds of years, and since the Churches weren't a big part of most of their lives, there was no real large pushback either. American was born and raised a secular nation. However, something happened in the mid-1800's called the American Industrial Revolution which turned Culture on its head as the traditional family dynamic was shattered, men worked all day, never saw their kids, mothers did everything in the house, Communists began bombing factories, working/living conditions were horrible, everyone became nihilistic and apathetic and it was really ****ty all around. So then comes a concept of social deprivation theory,or the reduction or prevention of culturally normal interaction between an individual and the rest of society. thus people, their culture shattered began seeking emotional support and acceptance wherever they could find it... religion became that for many people. With industrialization, radical freedom, and social deprivation the conditions were ripe for something called: The Second Great Awakening.

The Second Great Awakening was basically a mass push back towards Religion by many people looking for some meaning in their lives. It is this time several new branches of Christianity emerged such as Adventism, Mormonism, Christian Science (Anti-vaxxers), and a few others. Hellfire preachers became a thing as many Americans became a version of very radical Christianity. Because FREEDOM. Which is the cause of much butthurt in American Atheists today.

Tl;dr: Europe became more Secular because of years of Church system and base of the Enlightenment, America became more religious because of their FREEDOM to do what they wanted and being founded as a overall secular society permitting them to explore new systems and religious ideas.

In an interview with Russian news agency RIA Novosti (via EvaGeeks), Anno said the anime industry as we now know it will end in the next five to twenty years. Decline and “death” are unavoidable. Anno calls this only “a matter of time.” Yikes!

“Japanese animation is in decline,” Anno told RIA. “It’s already peaked.” Next, Anno believes, is the inevitable death. “After it does collapse, there will probably be a new resurgence.” The question, Anno wonders, is whether people will wait for this rebirth.

This death isn’t the end of anime per se. Japan will continue to have animation. “I don’t think animation will vanish,” Anno continued, “but perhaps, there might not be the conditions that have existed up until now that have led to the creation of interesting films.”

Anno thinks this collapse will mark the end of Japan’s dominance. Other countries in Asia, he points out, are getting richer and will produce more and more animation for their own audiences. On the contrary, Anno thinks there will be less money in Japan, which will also aid in anime’s decline and death. He also points out that there are fewer animators in Japan, which will also negatively impact anime. No doubt, ditto for a smaller population.

No one really cares about anime anymore outside of a small group of obsessive people that only like one type of thing, so yeah, I can totally see anime dying and I actually look forward to it. I mean, it was never that great to begin with, but studios could actually take risks a few years ago and release things that may or may not be successful as OVAs or whatever. Nowadays, they play everything safe and just do the same thing over and over or adapt works that are already popular. Anyway, I don't think CGI would help much in the artistic sense . I mean, it would save money, much like the west's reliance on flash, but I know most of the studios that would use CGI would use it lazily, much like the west's reliance on flash.

Another problem with anime is quite a few male protagonists fell out of the same main character tree and hit the same branches on their way down.

Has a female friend who is smarter and comes across as being more interesting.

2.for anime to die completely the manga industry has to kneel over, as bad as the animation is, a good story still carries it.
3.eye candy over creativity, this isnt only anime related issue as games and movies are following this trend, a common problem when you combine an artist with a bussiness man. its a brew for a slow death, but if charity based funding finaly kicks in, so the majority of artist detach from corporations, then theres still hope.

The highest selling TV anime before 2000 was Neon Genesis Evangelion at 171,100 total average sales. The second was Mobile Suit Gundam at 81, 730 total average sales. The third? Dragonball GT with 52, 923 total average sales. Afterwords you have Gundam Z (52, 677), Cowboy Bebop (47,955), and Nadesico (41, 784) total average sales. The oldest represented title in the running is Lupin the Third, from 1971. This comes from a list of 38 titles and covers, in total, 28 years.

The highest selling TV anime from 2000 and onwards is Bakemonogatari (79,201), Madoka Magica (71,057), Gundam SEED Destiny (68,959), Love Live! Season 2 (64, 708), Nisemonogatari (60,691), and Gundam SEED (58, 939). The oldest represented title in the running is a toss up between a couple series, but the time is, obviously, 2000. This comes from a list of 138 titles and covers, in total, 15 years

Take note of the consistency with the sales. After Evangelion and Gundam, the rest drops off drastically. The more recent top-sellers drop-off in increments of in the low thousands, with the most drastic drop-off being from Bakemonogatari to Madoka.
Also worth noting that only 16 of the 38 anime pre-2000 actually broke 10,000 sales before 2000.

There's no signs of anime dying due to some spontaneous disinterest of the medium, especially when you consider the slow revival of interest abroad, and, as current season line-ups show, there's nothing even close to showing a slow-down any time soon.
If there's any threat to Japanese animation, it's the mass-produced factor of it. Animation is something done by hand, after all. 'Mass-producing' animation, especially for a smaller fees, comes with different connotations than mass-producing other assembly-based products. Simply take into consideration that the companies have to pull out a twenty-four minute episode a week. A single episode entails the production of: storyboards, layout designers, key animators which pass through the animation directors, which go into inbetweens, which go to the inbetween frame supervisors, which goes to clean-up, then digital painters, then special effect artists, then painted frame supervisors, then cinematography director(s), then composite, then editing, then voice recording, then music and sound effects, then editing. Some shows end up even getting episodes to the broadcasting company the day they are to air.
But with all of this work, there must be a pay-off equivalent to this hard work, right?

The biggest threat to the animation industry is the ****ing enforcement labor laws (or the lack thereof). But, no, this is Hideaki Anno, the patron Saint of anime crowned by the one and only Hayao Miyazaki. Their word is comparable to gospel, after all. It's all the fault of Japan's current pop-culture, not the fault of the people in charge of the production. Nevermind that Anno outsources to the Taiwan based CGCG Xiamen and Studio Easter which is no stranger to unpaid overtime lawsuits. Never mind that Miyazaki's Ghibli had an animator ****ing die on the job. No, it's not the fault of the production staff at all. It's clearly the animators' and fans' fault.

Top Gear X Azumanga
I've always liked the top gear azumnga intro crossover it just works so well and is nicely paced, It's one of the best amvs I've seen in any off the hells.

Dark chest of wonders
The Next one is just me fanboying over nightwish I love me some Nightwish and Dark chest of wonders is a really awesome song and this amv is a nice pace.

Drop the bomb
I've never seen this anime, But it just works really well, it's a nice simple joke and is solid amv it's hard not to like it.

Terminator 2
This is another case of being a fanboy for terminator 2, But the amv it's self has some nice pacing and it's well synced.

Swiss Chocolate
This one just makes me laugh, I think it's one of the funnier amv's we've had, Simple comedy is some of the best.

Majin Buu God of mercy
This one doesn't make me laugh but it always puts a smile on my face, I really like the explosion effect at the end, this has some nice pacing and some solid lip syncing.

Falling down the stairs
I like the simple humor in this one, even if it is dark humor it still makes me laugh.

K-on weekend
I'm fanboying for a third time I love k-on and the nostalgia of the weekenders makes the favorite of mine,The amv runs at a good pace the video matches the music and K-on :3

I like 2 move it
I like to move it as so much energy in it and this clip represents that so well,it's non stop from the word go, This well made the timing,the lip syncing at the end of the day it's a great anime synced with a pretty cool song.

This one is one I knew I wanted to use for this as I remembered it so well, I've always liked this one, The action on the screen fits with the audio and is a great reenactment of the original loony tunes episode, That the audio comes from.

There are a few that may require a season or title-year
