I was referring to the Heroes in of themselves, not just the Daedric Princes. The Hero of Kvatch for example, who was a bane to Dagon, not by fighting him directly, but by bringing about the situation where he can be defeated by divine intervention, if not for him, Mehrunes would have won. Sure, the Dragonborn is no match for a Daedra if they fought, but a valuable asset? Most Definitely. And it still doesn't change the fact, despite Hircine holding back, was still beaten back by the Neverarine, which brings me back to my argument that the soul of the Dragonborn would definitely be wanted by the Daedra, especially those he/she has ties with in blood or oath. I agree, the Daedra are infinitely more powerful, but having a hero with the blood of Akatosh in their domains would be a great asset to them.

Seems to me that in skyrim right now, you the player are either a barely witting pawn or an outright supporter of basically every daedric entity. I mean, even disobeying what mehrunes wants you to do leads him to claim you're just doing what he wanted anyway. Or something to that effect.


Tropico 4 is on sale til Tuesday for 13$, I tried out the free weekend dealio and it's legitimately a new and improved tropico. Adds some character. I liked tropico 3 a lot, but it seems they didn't do too bad with 4.

I want nintendo to re-annunce the wii-u but but with better hardware specs and multipul control options along with the abillity to run at 1080hp while using the touch screen pad.

you were tying theme to race, that's just stupid, and it's not how the games work. This is especially true for Daggerfall where you're not bound to one province (and again, I don't remember too much of Arena, but it was good enough for me to get Daggerfall). This has nothing to do with my ego so much as you stupidly making race a big thing, it's not in III, IV or V, the themes have nothing to do with race. There are a large number of Nord subplots in Skyrim, that goes with taking place where it does, but there are also really great compelling subplots for every other race. Now that I've gotten this far, I think you're confusing 'theme' for 'tone' obviously it'll have a nord tone because of locality, but I would disagree that it has a nord theme.

the cat people are from Elsweyr and they're called the Khajit. I think you're referring to Hist trees (which I don't think are mobile just sentient) and they're from the Black Marsh.

you can play the game with a gameboy advance. Places where you would need split screen appear on the gameboy advance screen. I used a gameboy player to do that. The game is the best with two people, alright with one, playable with 3, hopelessly impossible to play with 4 people. With two people it is a true co-op experience. With 4 it is a fight to get people to cooperate.

I'm in the Dawn And Dusk Towers it's interesting because there connected by portals so you need explore both at the same time because there are some paths in the dawn tower that blocked but arn't blocked in the dusk tower and vice-versa.

We have some new Yakuza 5 details. Which full name is Yakuza 5: Granter of Wishes, will take place in five cities (the classic Kamurocho, Returning from Yakuza 2, and Yakuza Black Panther 2 Osaka, and tree new cities Sapporo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.) And now we know it will feature five protagonist. Given that each characters is suppose to represent one of the five cities, it is unlikely that any of the new playable characters from Yakuza 4 will be playable. Shame since I would have really loved to see more Akiyama.

Anyways. Supposedly a leaked specs sheet has revealed some details about the PS4.

Here are the alleged specs listed on the document
The Playstation 4 should still have a Cell processor (of course the new generation), 10GB RAM and 10GB XDR2 GDDR6 and video card nVidia GeForce GK104 X2, all at a maximum resolution of 2160X1080p with support for stereoscopic 3D. The memory on the system are 250 and 350 GB.
And is due out Q4 2013

kinda sounds like Sony is going to make the biggest mistake they made with the PS3 all over again, if this is true at least.

I was under the impression that sony were always planning on launching a ps4.
Even before the WiiU was announced.

I play my xbox 360 99% of the time on a HD tv. But that 1% is disappointing. I know a lot of people who own a Xbox 360 who can't play on a HD tv because they are in college and can't afford a plasma/lcd or are saving money by getting a used tube tv.

One of the first things I noticed when I got my 360 a year ago is that all the text (subtitles, menus, etc) are all to small to be seen on a SD tv or HD tv smaller than 36" in size more than 5' away. Essentially it is like the games are trying to sell you a big HD tv also. That what I like about wii, of the few things I like about it, I can play every game on any thing without needing binoculars

No matter how well calibrated I think the lag is I get the feeling that I'm missing notes that I should be hitting. I probably won't bring my 360 to school in fall because of it :(. My N64 and SNES games aren't exactly flattered by HD either.

The upside is that I can hook my computer up to it and watch anime on a big screen, but if I played more video games than watched anime I would probably switch back to the old TV TBH.

Haruka, it seems won't be taking part in standard battles, but instead will have her own way of dealing with conflict. I tried this before, actually, but there was something wrong with my capture card. (It was way too cheap and the colors were distorted) I'll try this method later on. Thank you.

No problem Haar ive done this several times for customers, but to be honest its best to use a HD interface and record in 1080P or 720P just remember full HD vids can be BIG, thats why most people use 720P as a maximum for there game vids. The majority of vids are in 480P - 720P

I've got something like 400 or so PS2 games and ALL of them have the manual, cover/inlay, and are non-greatest hits (unless they were ONLY released that way).

There's 'something' about looking at the manual of a game you bought and knowing you has it all that makes it all that much more special.

Speaking of that scenary, am I the only one who thinks that takes place in ColdHarbour? (Molag Bal's Plane of Oblivion?) It would make sense considering the fountain of blood in the trailer resembles Bal, and that in lore Molag Bal is responsible for creating Vampires as we know them.

That is the main point of owning a games console.
But the downside of the WiiUabout being the same power as the PS3 and 360 is that it will miss out on cross platform games that will be one the PS4 and 720.
But that won't be a problem if nintendo have a strong first party lineup.

While I like story elements in video games, I don't really like when games are bogged down with a lot more story than gameplay. That is to say, I didn't really like how Valkyria Chronicles had a 5:1 cutscene to battle ratio. I mean, playing that game involves so much sitting around and doing nothing, I'd probably be better off simply watching the Valkyria Chronicles anime instead. Of course, that's generally my opinion on most JRPGs.

Most JRPGs just feel sort of boring to me lately and I figure that the amount of time spent "playing" one is akin to watching an anime, so I figure, "why am I wasting my time with a 40 hour pseudo-anime when I can just watch a movie and get the same basic experience."

It's a personal opinion thing.
But the ps3 does seem to have a nice variety of games.
I'd also like to note that the Wii's newest rpgs Pandoras tower,The last story and Xenoblade chronicles are nice rpgs.

Seriously though, neither type of RPG is perfect, in my opinion. While JRPGs offer too little freedom, some WRPG offer a bit too much freedom. That is to say, I'll get bored of the former and give up and get absolutely lost in the latter and give up. The best WRPG I can think of at the moment that doesn't have that issue is probably Fallout 3. I usually know what I'm doing in that game.

Anyway, I wasn't even trying to start that debate here, but if you guys want to, we can.
