I like the way you can level up and the gameplay is very solid. But the other players can be very... well... horrible people. Camping, quick scooping and other things just bring it down considerably. The spec ops are the best part of the game giving you some really cool missions. I also like how you can now play two player split screen online so now you can complain about the campers in person.

Also, during the last quest for the College of Winterhold...well, something keeps sapping your Magicka (I'm a mage who uses nothing but magic) and so that quest was a absolute cluster**** of pain. Spectal Draugr? Wispmothers? A Skeletal Dragon!? All there, coupled with your common trolls, skeletons, draugr, frostbite spiders, and the the blue voice that completely drains my mana (and causes it to regenerate slow as ****) before every engagement. And finally you face a Lich who will absolutely destroy you...again...and again...and again.

I finally managed to destroy the ****er, and complete the College of Winterhold earning me Arch-Mage status, badass robes, and what amounts to Frostcrag spire has my living space.

Actually I thought that Spirit Tracks was quite awesome. I thought that phantom hourglass was the worst in the series though, ph was too easy, too repetitive, and its ocean travel was boring as hell. Its online also sucked.

I liked that in Spirit Tracks it was a bit harder, less repetitive, had interesting side quests, a great story, no time limit, and engaging travel.

1) It's a pain in the ass (sometimes) to get said basket/pot on the persons' head.

Dragons aren't that tough, blood dragons however are, I still rate a dragon tougher than a bear, but Snow Troll, Mammoths, and especially Giants are tougher, Giants are the toughest thing in the game but are easy to deal with cause you can kite them.

The wabbajack is really effective against Giants and Dragons though, instead of doing it's normal weird stuff it does an elemental AoE; so you're guaranteed good damage each hit.

Black Dragons: The normal Fire breathers you meet from the get go
Frost Dragons: White, Spiny ****ers that breath ice, slightly more difficult than a Black.
Blood Dragons: The Frilled Fire and Ice breathers, who are annoying as F***
Elder Dragons: Even Tougher Goldish ****ers.
Ancient Dragons: The Toughest ****s of them all they appear after Lvl. 24 and have high health, can breath Fire and Ice, can ravage you with their tail. These are the worst outside of Alduin and named dragons like (Spoilers) Paarthunax and Odahviing.
Skeletal Dragons: Tough ****s. Can't fly but you can't absorb their souls either. One is found in Labyrinthian.

Ive fought all but Ancient, one time I fought 2 bloods at 1 time, my friend fought 3 at 1 time. it also depends on how far in the main quest you are. named dragons are pussies compared to Elder IMO. blood are easiest, but some times the flight patterns drag the fight on forever.

Meh, level grinding one skill in Speechcraft and recomending it to anyone playing Skyrim to "Level Up" is only good for people who want to be a master in Smithing and Speechcraft.
Skyrim isn't a game to win by quickly leveling up. For example you can be a master in Speechcraft but when it comes down to combat you'll suck because you focused all your efforts in Speechcraft and not Onehanded, Archery, Two Handed Etc. Which is fine for some characters, but is not recommended for every character.
All skills are great and each have their own perks, and only 80 of the 250 perks can be unlocked by any given character, so you have to choose wisely in what perks and skills you want. And leveling get's MUCH slower after 50. So grinding Smithing and Speechcraft up to level fifty won't be much good for getting perks in other skills.
Speechcraft is a last skill I'll focus on increasing, since it just goes up from me just selling me loot and me winning "Persuation/Intimidation/Bribe" challenges, so even when I get up to fifty it's not something I will focus on as it grows so freaking easily without even trying. That and leveling that up will only be good for it's own perks, not some of the other life saving perks. Speech will only be good for your coinpurse, which like in Oblivion Money becomes a non-issue in higher levels when every bandit cheif, giant, dragon etc. drops hundreds if not thousands of gold worth of crap. (Dragon bones especially at 170-1000+ gold each)
My characters wouldn't benefit from this strategem, other than putting more gold in their pocket, and making "convincing" NPC's easier ( I do that anyways, money is a non-issue...bribe ALL of the NPC's!)


So Speechcraft has it's faults and uses for some characters, and me doing that would only give a partial benefit to my playing style. That and 'Taking all things' isn't the wisest idea considering encumberance limits and such, hence why I only take things that are either useful to my character(armor, weapons I want to use for my character), useful and nearly weightless (lockpicks) , or things more the 50+ gold in value. At higher levels this changes to things more than 200+ gold in value.

Smithing is good however, because you can forge Daedric and Dragon armors with the right materials. And you can get the best base weapons from doing so. Couple this with enchanting and...well... you have a powerhouse skill to be reckoned with.

any ways Looks like the same issue that was in Fallout 3 and New Vegas is in Skyrim, so Skyrim for me is now virtually unplayable. Hopefully the next patch will fix the issue.... actually I just hope Bethesda will actually fix it this time. until then While I wait, Saints Row: The Third

On the PS3 the longer you play the bigger the save file for the game gets, as the save file gets bigger frame rate issues and crashes would start to appear and will gradually get worse.

Imperials are supposed to have huge Speech/Mercantile advantages but they don't even get speech as a skill in Skyrim. Also Dunmer; Dunmer are supposed to get a strong focus on Blade and Destruction, the idea being fighters strong in offensive magic but in skyrim they're given stealth skills. It's mostly that the racial identity of many of the races has been compromised, of course this is party because of the huge homogenizing affect the reduction in number of skills has had.

I'm certainly not saying racial skill bonuses always made sense, I have no idea why Imperials got a hand-to-hand bonus over nords who are known for brawling. At least with Khajit in theory it made sense since they had claws(which I'm really happy they capitalize on in Skyrim, they with the right perks and their passive fist damage bonus do more damage with their fists than an unupgraded Deadric warhammer with full two hand skill).

There are quite a few other things I want to talk about regarding race but I don't want this to turn into a massive wall of text so that the floor can be properly opened for discussion.

True, in Skyrim they don't get a bonus to speech that I'm aware of. Instead they get the Imperial luck bonus that increases the amount of gold they find in the game world, wherever gold is found. It doesn't do the usual racial traits complete justice but it is something.

Dunmer bonuses:

There is a focus on destruction magic, but I can see the lack of fighter ability. Suppose the light armor could count for something but that's more along the lines of thief or assassin. At the same time however I don't see any magic focused race logically getting heavy armor bonuses by default, they could swap the sneak out for one handed and everything would be great.

Ah but the problem still stands that Imperials don't have the speech skill, that was kinda their thing though. Also the 50% resistance to disease/poison isn't that useful. Honestly it makes me wonder why Arogonians don't have complete disease immunity anymore. I know they nerfed resistances a lot since Morrowind, and in some cases this was just smart (nords had frost immunity and 50% shock resistance. Altmer, Argonians, Bosmer and Redguards had 75% disease resistance. Redguards also had 75% poison resistance. Dunmer fire resistance used to be 75% percent. Bretons had 50% magic resistance and Orcs had 25%) Everyone got hit by nerfs, I feel really bad for Orcs, the reason to play them before was good starting skill bonuses and the magic resistance both of which they lost.

At least one of the magic bonuses could be dropped for speech, I'm not sure why they didn't do it. Maybe they figured the Voice power was speech enough, being a universal calm spell but that hardly justifies it.

i going through a tunnel and i was killed by sabertooth cat like ten times in a row then i remember i'm a wood elf i can control the animals so i told it sit and left the tunnel just to find a dragon.
thats when thought omg a dragon i'm only level 9 i'm doomed.
it was easier to kill than the sbaer tooth cat i just shot it with arrows.
my bow does have a freeze abbillity and lowers stamina by 15% for 5 secs.

Dragons are pansies. They're extremely weak to make up for the fact they show up out of nowhere, are usually required for a power or story mission or something, and can fly around and breathe fire/ice on you without you being able to (easily) hit them.

In short: Weak due to heavy amount of annoying.

Dragons aren't that tough, by design you can encounter your first dragon at like level 2 so they made them easier. They compensated for this by making many different kinds of stronger dragons, wait till you see your first blood dragon.

I am also vexxed that Argonians Poison/Disease Immunity got nerfed. Thank God they still have Water Breathing. (Even though It's not nearly as useful as it was in Oblivion)
HistSkin barely makes up for it, but damn it has saved my ass so many times before. 10% Health left? Histskin. Book it. Go back and destroy enemy when health returned. My Argonian has all Health Upgrades and Heavy Armor so he is a ****ing Tank, pluse Histskin and he is a powerhouse for 60 secs.

Argonians were never supposed to be the tanky race, they were resistant sure but skillwise they were all utility. Orsimer were supposed to be tanky, that's why they used t get +10 to medium armor, heavy armor and armorer

Yesterday I forgot to mention, they also changed redguards quite a bit, they used to get a lot of combat oriented skills and athletics (I miss athletics, also for some reason they got mercantile but it makes sense when you consider they're supposed to be great mercenaries) the idea being Redguards are as good in combat as a Nord but with discipline rather than just raw force. Skyrim however decided they needed magic skills.

It did take notes from 64 but it also improved on them in a lot of ways making it a much better game, and story and characters in Banjo where, well actually there, they weren't just NPCs giving out challenges. Banjo Tooie took it a step further, not only was the story a lot better, being something both the young and old could enjoy, the worlds were interesting big and complex. The also polished up the already solid game play. They also added a bunch new moves that gave combat a huge sense of variety for a platformed of the time. Even with all this stuff this already was much more then developers that where competing, even with all this enough to easily crush Mario 64 or any platformed to come after it, the developers added more a few mini games that except for two where really fun to play.

i mean it is a good and it had a lot of good points but i just personally prefer mario 64.
i think it's best 3d platform game evermade.
on another note imo goldeneye and perfect dark are rarewares best games to date.,

lol I found a dragon in skyrim flying around that I couldn't get to fight me, I shot arrows an magic at is, ran to places it was flying over that would be more suitable for a fight, I even turned on noclip and flew up to the thing. It just ignored me.

That happens to me occasionally. First time was at the Shrine of Peryite where it attacked the cultists there, then after I took half of it's health away it just flew in circles around me, doing absolutely nothing. Then there are random encounters where a dragon fly over a couple of times before just leaving, not even attacking or anything.
Have you guys also found dragon spawns inside walled cities yet? Dear God, that finally just happened to me in Windhelm, I didn't have any good magic or bows with me and the beast always landed out of my reach so by the time it landed somewhere i could "hit it with my sword" it killed five guards, that racist prick from the Candlehearth Hall and a stand vendor. Then it happened again in Solitude and Whiterun shortly after. With Whiterun it was with a Blood Dragon.

That's only if you do a significant amount of the main quest. For people who completely ignore the main quest (Like with many Bethesda games) Dragonrend is not an option.

Okay, I literally just finished Saints Row the Third. Not a lot about the city itself is any better than Saints Row 2. The missions are way better, some epic set pieces. If you want to play Saints Row 2 again except with better, more awesome missions I wholeheartedly recommend it. If you expected a brand new city with a slew of new fun things to do- you'll probably get bored of Professor Genki very quickly.

EDIT: Also, looking at the credits, Burt Reynolds and Steve Blum are in this game. So if that's enough for you, I also recommend it.

DOUBLE EDIT: Sasha Grey (terrible voice actress, by the way...) and Hulk Hogan also.

I hope it fixes more than that, there's still quite a few quests that tend to glitch. Namely the one involving Nocturnal, where the NPC walks the wrong way unless you're in the exactly right position to prevent it.

Well, that's a start.

Personally the Glitch that's annoying me is when you complete the Civil War quest for the Imperials and everytime I go to Whiterun, Hadvar follows me with his sword drawn acting like the battle is still going. It's Annoying as F*** and it makes me somewhat nervous.

And the Dragon issues aren't rare for me, they're uncommon, but not exactly rare.

What game have you been playing, a lot of quests are bugged to the point where they can't be completed without the console. Has only happened once to me but it was one of the more buggy quests (though from what I hear I had no problems with the buggiest) That aside there are a lot of stupid crash issues (this is likely PC only cause lol bad port)

I've been playing on the 360, (Laptop isn't good enough to run Skyrim) and I've had no game breaking problems. Only problems I've had are minor graphic glitches, and NPC issues which can be solved with a little extra effort.

Of course, these glitches are to be expected with every new Bethesda game, but they are not nearly as bad as Fallout 3's or Oblivion's glitches thus far.

There are already some good mods, the unofficial patch isn't out yet though.
What I'm waiting for is mods that will let me make the game more LoL like
1. Being able to play as a little girl with complete fire magic mastery and a bear summon
2. Special armor for when I'm a Werewolf , and ability called Infinite Duress and a heal every time I hit an enemy.

found a dragon flying over skyrim and the dragon completely ignored him.

the biggest problem is the auto-saves killing PS3. I play on PC and I have around 4 gigs of save files (its around 520 saves by now)

a few quest killing bugs are annoying, but I worked around the wedding one without console commands.

it is a shame Skyrim had to be a console port, but patches are making it more PC-friendly
